Mr. Fix It

Hello RRR friends! Father's Day is right around the corner so today I have a card for that special handy man in your life! I love the fun apron shape and it's a perfect fit for all Dad's tools! This is a really fun type of card to decorate and with so many fantastic choices from Really Reasonable Ribbon, the possibilities for an apron card are endless! Just change the paper and the ribbon and you'll have a whole new theme! I chose Navy Center Stitched Burlap ribbon to go with my masculine theme. Don't be afraid to use up your ribbon scraps as well--I even cut mine and frayed it a bit for some cool texture.

Here's a few more ideas:
  • Gardening apron- garden tools, gloves, flowers in the pocket
  • Barbeque/Grilling apron- grilling utensils, napkin in the pocket
  • Baking apron- rolling pin, mixing spoons and utensils in the pocket
  • Artist apron- paint brushes, markers, crayons, scissors, etc. in the pocket
  • Seamstress apron- spools of thread, pins, waist measure in the pocket
Use your imagination because the sky is the limit for apron cards! And it's so fun to fill the pocket with whatever you want!
Here's a great template to use from the web:

You could also score it from the side so the fold is like a traditional card.
Thanks so much for visiting today! I've enjoyed sharing my card and I hope it has brought a bit of inspiration. Hugs and happy crafting! ~Linsey
