Ribbon, Roses and Lovely Ladies

Hello friends.  It's Kathy Clement here to share a very girly card I made with the fabulous Diamond Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I just want to quickly say how happy and excited I am to be on the RRR team!  I have a great vintage card to share with you using ribbon, roses and lovely ladies.

Isn't she elegant?  I think the ribbons on this card really make it shine.  I used Diamond Satin ribbon from the Vintage assortment for the double loop bow on the side, and added some stick pins as extra jewelry. I am just thrilled with the way this ribbon matches the papers from Graphic 45's A Ladies' Diary.

Because this is a cutaway card, I wanted to add some crochet lace along the inside panel to add texture and visual interest.  I chose the beautiful Francis Crochet Lace from this month's Ribbon Club package.  (Can you say "yummy"?)
Bonnie Garby's photo.

Since I wanted the lace to look slightly aged, I tapped it lightly with some Tea Stain Distress Ink.  I just love the contrast it provides.

The roses were some that I had in my stash, so I added them along with a tiny key, a die cut Eiffel Tower and a Graphic 45 button that I added a crochet thread bow to.  Miss Fifi is all ready for her night out on the town.

One of the things I like best about adding ribbon or lace to a cutaway card like this is that when you open the card, you get to see the lace on the inside, too.  It's a two-fer!

I also like to decorate my envelopes.

And that's all for me today, friends. Before I sign off, I want to remind you that Bonnie is hosting a fabulous giveaway on the RRR blog.

The giveaway closes TODAY, though...so hop on over there and sign up with the Rafflecopter for your chance to win this amazing tool.  After watching Bonnie's videos on You Tube, I have been lusting for one of my own.  Oh, the bows you can tie!  Really...check it out!

And that's it for me today, friends.  Thanks for letting me share my Ribbons, Roses and Lovely Ladies card with you all.  Again,I am just over the moon about being on this team.

Until next time...
Cheerio,
kathy
