Now, be sure to leave some love at all the stops along the way. Your comments are most appreciated!

At the end of the hop, comment on this post answering the question below for a chance to win our March Ribbon Club assortment and the extra goodies shown below.

Our question of the month is:

What is your favorite coloring medium?  Or do you avoid coloring at all costs??

I'm trying to get back in the swing of things and I had everything out last week. lol   Copics, watercolor pencils, colored pencils, chalks.........  I've gotta say that I really like colored pencils.  I feel like I have more control with them.  I'm going to have to hit up YouTube for some videos on using colored pencils to the max.   I've got the mineral spirits and semi-good colored pencils.  I've gotta keep going now because you have to practice, practice, practice to be really good.

What do you use?

Our winner will be selected from the numbered comments on this post on Monday, 3/18 using random.org. Be sure to check back on Monday evening to see if you are our lucky winner.

Thanks so much for hopping with us today. We hope you'll stop by and so some shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon soon.

  6. I am new to coloring images for my projects but do have color pencils plus I recently purchased the Spectrum Nor markers. They are alcohol based markers like Copics but less expensive. I am now learning to use them. Practice!

  7. I'm just beginning to use alcohol markers from Close to My Heart, which are not nearly has expensive as the Copics and I love them!

Great blog hop this month! Lots of inspiration as usual!

  10. I love my copics and have just purchased a set of Prismacolour pencils. I am also looking at experimenting with distress inks.

Good luck with your practice sessions. I found Youtube really good for tutorials on colouring with a wide variety of mediums. For me, it was buy a small quantity of each medium and play with it until I decided if it was for me before I invested too much in any one product.

    Cheers,
    Kasey

  12. What a wonderful hop filled with so much inspiration and Beauty. I love coloring. I have just started trying my hand at using spectrum Noir markers and I think I am getting the hang of it. I would love to try copics too. I love my water color pencil's. I too feel like there is more control than with a pen. I would love to try different things too like chalk and distress inks. Practice practice practice is what I am doing with what I have right now.

  14. I love to color. I have colored pencils, nibs to use with ink, several kinds of markers. I love coloring with water and ink the best, surprisingly enough, but it takes a long time, so I usually reach for a quick marker!

  17. I haven't experimented a lot with coloring but have used my watercolor color pencils. They seem to work best for me, although, I would love to learn other coloring techniques. Guess I should check out YouTube too! Loved all of the creations by the design team. A very talented group of ladies. BTW: I already am a Ribbon Club subscriber and always look forward to each month's assortment of colorful, beautiful ribbon.

  18. I go back and forth depending on my mood and the project and how much time I have. I mainly use alcohol markers, colored pencils with gamsol and chalk. Would like to learn to watercolor better.

  19. I mostly use watercolor pencils and mineral spirits but I like pan pastels as well. I'm not much of a marker fan, I think the others are more controlable and give good coverage and highlights not to mention WAY less expensive.

  20. I like using my Spectrum Noir markers.

  21. I have watercolor pencils, colored pencils and OMS, and Copics. I have fun with the Copics but I think coloring with them is pretty complicated, and I haven't played with the watercolors enough to really get the hang of them. I have to agree with you that I really like the colored pencils and OMS the best! Of the three I had the best immediate success with this, and I find the blending much easier. Oh I do also have chalks but I'm afraid I am not terribly adept at coloring fine detail with them. I have purchased other sorts of coloring mediums but have yet to try these.
