ATC and Easter Blessing Card

Hello Friends!!
Happy Thursday!!
Heather here and  I would like to share with you one of my ATC's that I have created for a swap that I am participating in. I have used some beautiful  ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon as well as some fabulous digital images from Gecko Galz.

I started off with the Fairest Rose digital paper from Gecko Galz, I of course used GIMP to alter it, and add some music notes.  I created the scallop shape, and added the text "I love to play with Beautiful things."   The paper is beautiful and so are my embellishments!  I used my Favorites Juliet LaceMoss Leavescotton candy baker's twine, aqua seam binding and an adorable little button all from Really Reasonable Ribbon!
Here are a couple up close pictures.
Here you can see how I flipped the Fairest Rose paper so that I had roses at the top of my ATC and the bottom, I created a new center, using the same colors and adding more prominent music notes.  Playing in GIMP with digital images has definitely become something that represents me as an artist.  I clipped the Juliet Lace, and tucked the individual pieces under the scallop piece, which was raised from the base using the Candi Fix it foam pads from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I do all kinds of digi work, then cover it up with embellies, what can I say??  I love ribbons and trims!!  I love buttons, and using the cotton candy baker's twine is my newest thing...I originally used beading wire.  I even added my favorite champagne pearls....It is rare that you will see a project where I have NOT used the moss green leaves!  They go so well with everything!!
Seam binding is definitely something I love, and this one is in my favorite color (actually some of them have the Rose Petal and some have the champagne seam binding, because I couldn't settle on one color).  When Bonnie has so many fabby colors stocked, why choose one :0).  Here you can also see the little blue bird that was one of the very first pieces that I took from an image (Graphic Fairy), and cleaned up to use in quite a few projects.  I did add a little sparkle around the edges of my ATC with some clear hexagon shaped glitter.  So it has just a touch of sparkle!
One last shot at the whole card.
I also created an Easter Blessings Card below.

I used some fabby fabric laces as well as some other goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Imagine my excitement when I saw that Bonnie had the moss green leaves in the JUMBO size (sooo yummy)!!

The cross is from a collage sheet that I created using GIMP.
I did ink all my edges and candis with Ranger's Vintage Photo distress ink.
I hope you enjoy my ATC, and how it represents me as an artist, and my Easter Blessings Card.

Please don't forget that we have a challenge going on at
and that Bonnie has a
going on as well. So please check them both out!!

Thank you for visiting!!
Hugs
Heather
