Give Thanks Bag

Autumn is in the air!
The days are cooler and the rich autumn colors are painting the landscape.  My thoughts turn toward family time together.  Meals together, lively conversation and cards played around the table.
It's fun and easy to create these Give Thanks Bags to hold silverware for your special get together's or some sweet treats for that special someone.
I used a canvas bag, fabric leaves and beautiful ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The beautiful Moss Cream Plaid Ribbon and Natural Burlap String added a soft fall touch to this bag.

Hope you enjoyed another fun and easy project.

Follow Your Heart

Don't you just LOVE ribbons๐ŸŽ€??  I know that for me, they are pretty much a necessity in crafting.  Very rarely do I create a card (or anything else for that matter) that doesn't include a ribbon or bow of some sort.  I just really enjoy the warmth and texture that ribbons, bows, twines and trims add to our works of art.  Really Reasonable Ribbon is the perfect place to find every color and style of ribbons and trims, and SO much more.
I created this card to share with you today.  It's a perfect example of how truly AMAZING all the products at Really Reasonable Ribbon are.  I started with a cardstock base and added a piece of patterned paper that I topped with another smaller strip of patterned paper.  I attached half of a tea-stained doily underneath the strip.  The sentiment is a chipboard piece that I picked up recently at Tuesday Morning in a package for just $1.99.  It's always exciting to find perfect little treasures at Tuesday Morning.  But hey.....I couldn't stop there!  The touches from Really Reasonable Ribbon are what make this card truly special.
I attached a width of Silver Seam Binding across my card and attached a 16mm Pearl Heart Shaped Ribbon Buckle Slide to it.  Next, I tied a bow with the Silver Seam Binding, and a length of the lovely Blue Jay Seam Binding and Summer Rose Seam Binding.  I also tucked in a length of Navy Burlap String, some Double Head Stamens and I must say.....these AMAZING precious little accents are almost gone.  I don't know if they'll be restocked, but I know you will LOVE them as much as I do.  You really should grab what's left before they are gone.
I topped my bow with a beautiful Yellow Cherry Blossom and stuck in a couple of pins for accent.  There's also a sweet little 11mm White Heart Shaped Flatback Imitation Pearl next to the sentiment.  I also tucked in three different Mulberry Leaves including a 35mm Green, a  30mm Green & White, and a new 25mm Green/Yellow/White Leaf. There are so many cute Embellishments in the RRR Shop in addition to all the Seam BindingMulberry Flowers, and SO much more.  Cute, cute, cute!  That's what you'll find at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Please visit again soon and often so that you won't miss out on any new products, loads of inspiration, special sales and promotions, our monthly blog hop, plenty of good shopping, and so much more.

Blessings,

Fabulous Fall Ribbons

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Fall has to be my favorite season of the year.  Crisp apples, crunchy acorns, colorful pumpkins and fluttering leaves make me happy, happy, happy!  To use up some of my stash of retired fall ribbons, I decided to create a fabulous fall stash buster of a mini album all tied together with fabulous fall ribbons from RRR.

This is a 5" x 7" chipboard cover, O-Ring bound mini album with a mixed media cover.  I've combined about 4 different paper collection from different manufacturers with dies, flowers, brads, buttons, and burlap.  To tie all these elements together, I used gorgeous fall ribbons.

In addition to the ribbons in the September Ribbon Club Assortment, you'll find Autumn Diamond Print Grosgrain Ribbon and Noble Peacock Seam Binding tied to the O ring binding.  I love the way these vibrant ribbons resemble fluttering fall leaves, don' t you?

The album is loaded with flips, flaps, inserts, tags, mini folios and other goodies.  To help you get a feel for all the album features, I've prepared a little Youtube video tour.  I share lots of tips that you can use in your own crafty adventures here.

I hope I shared some tips and tricks that you can use in your own crafty adventures!

Rainbows + Stars = A Magical Day!

Hello there! Linsey here today sharing one of my favorite recent cards made featuring fabulous ribbons from RRR! I love rainbow colors and I also love stars, so this card came together like magic!
I made this card using the ribbons from the Bright Colors Grosgrain with Silver Metallic Edges Assortment. Space ribbons and graduate each piece about a 1/2" further than the next. Add 3D foam stars with rainbow craft foils and glitter on top and adhere to ends of each ribbon. Add stamped sentiment, attach to card base and done! The silver metallic edges of the grosgrain ribbons coordinate perfectly with the silver glittery part of the stars and the rainbow colors go great with each other too!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with love and happiness! Until next time, happy crafting! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Halloween Candy Cuties with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today I have these darling "Going Batty" Candy Cuties I made and decorated using ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I love how they turned out, and will be making more of these darling candy holders. Ok, so I have a funny story to tell about a BAT.  One night a couple of weeks ago, my hubby heard a noise outside, it was loud.  He heard it in our back garage, and he couldn't figure out what it was. We had a problem with a wasp nest that we were dealing with, but he knew at this time at night those were sleeping and whatever was hopping around in the eves of his garage, he had no idea what it was until he went in the garage and started spraying the wasp spray.  Then it came and sat on the wood up high tucked back up by the roof and he thought it was staring at him  Well we know they don't see, so he sprayed it,and left the garage,  LOL hahahahaha.  Omgosh, when he told me this story, I thought OMGOSH I'm so glad you did not wake me up....LOL.  I would have never went back to sleep over that one.....hahaha at first he thought it was a mouse, but it wasn't.  He clearly saw it, and it was a brown bat.  We haven't heard anything out there as of lately, and we did get rid of the wasp, so hopefully it left, and is gone now.

To start with I had to buy the file for these.  They are a embroidery in the hoop file, and then I went ahead and decorated them using Really Reasonable Ribbon's beautiful polka dot satin ribbon, along with the rose buds white, and then black stamens, and little green leaves. Now the rose buds I did distress and spritz a little bit so they would be a blackish color for the bats. I love how the orange satin ribbon pops and makes these darling bats look so much sweeter.  They are cute to begin with, but even cuter using RRR beautiful satin! Love them!

There are two different sizes and they are to hold candy inside them. I of course forgot to buy candy to put in them, so I went into my jar and grabbed some candy hubby brought home for me...hehehee they worked just fine.

As the Crow Flies Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Dropping in to share a very Halloweeny greeting card.
I am a fool for plaid and as soon as I saw this Halloween inspired pattern I knew I would use it for this card!

I've paired it with a fun NeverMore Halloween Collage holiday printable from my shop. That's a very serious looking crow!

A  die cut spiderweb is tucked under a large doily for a very layered look.
My favorite plaid ribbon from RRR is of course the Black Plaid. These's a second bow of loopy burlap string and a vintage button and how could I forget the spiderweb charm?

A metal clip holds a fun ticket, I've layered in some of the stamp images from the printable and a tag and sequins.

So how gorgeously spooky are these flowers? I used the White Magnolia finished in black paint,  some Chrysanthemums. Cherry Blossoms,  and Sweetheart Blossoms to create a nice full arrangement. A second loopy bow of twine and die cut leaves to finish off this card.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Sweet Autumn Treats

Don't you just love Autumn?  I sure do!  I love the changing colors of the leaves, making spiced cider, and making all kinds of fun little treats for all my nieces and nephews.  So for today's Really Reasonable Ribbon post, I decided to make some cute little treats.  I used a set of six plastic tubes with metal caps that I picked up at Hobby Lobby, and I filled them with some different colors of Skittles candies.  Then came the really fun part....using lots of fabulous products from Really Reasonable Ribbon to decorate and embellish these cute little treat tubes.
For the tubes that are filled with purple Skittles, I decorated each of those with small bows tied with Black Seam BindingLilac Seam Binding, and Parrot Green Solid Baker's Twine.  For the tubes that are filled with mixed (black, green and orange) Skittles, I decorated those tubes with small bows tied with Black Seam BindingOrange Seam BindingParrot Green Solid Baker's Twine, and Plum Baker's Twine.  Each tube (bow) was topped with a Jolee's spider.
It's fun and easy to make sweet little treats for all the "little goblins" in your life.  They enjoy the fun little treats, and you'll have fun making them.  Really Reasonable Ribbon makes it so easy to find all the ribbons, trims and supplies you need to create something wonderful.

Happy Halloween Gift Card Holders

Hello, Friends!  Have you started your Halloween crafting yet?  When I got my September Ribbon Club Assortment in the mail, it put me into high gear for Halloween creations.  Those ribbons are spook-tacular!  Today I've used them to dress up these cutie pie Halloween Gift Card Holders.

These are super quick and easy to make, yet they look fabulously festive thanks to the wonderful ribbons.

This Boo-tiful card is dressed up with the 3/8"  Halloween Confetti Dot Grosgrain Ribbon and some of my favorite Natural Burlap String.

A little 3/8" Black Checkerboard Satin ribbon adds a touch of class to the gift card holder inside the card.

This fab-BOO-luss card is adorned with Tangerine Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.  I love the soft shimmer it adds to the card design.

And I love the fun factor that the Halloween Confetti Dot Ribbon adds to the gift card holder inside this card.

Tangerine Satin Swirl Ribbon is postively "bewitching" when paired with Black Checkerboard Satin Ribbon, don't you think?

And this black cat is lucky to be paired up with 3/8" Black Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.

This too cute to spook witch is color coordinated with the Tangerine Satin Swirl bow on this card.

And I'm loving this 3/8" Spiderweb Satin Ribbon with these papers.

If you'd like to make these cute cards, I prepared a little Snapguide tutorial for you!  Happy Halloween!

Oh, Baby! Altered Shadowbox

Hello friends! I hope you're enjoying these final days of summer! Linsey here today sharing my latest altered project, a shadowbox sure to melt the heats of anyone who loves babies...and who doesn't, right?! A new baby is a true treasure and joy and creating a handmade keepsake is a very special way to celebrate such a precious occasion. Come along and see how I transformed this ordinary wood shadowbox into a one-of-a-kind keepsake with all the trimmings!๐Ÿ˜Š
First, the outside of the box was covered with 12x12 patterned paper. Next, all of the edges were covered with So Sweet Washi Tape, which is a nice alternative to painting. Each of the inner boxes were covered using smaller, 6x8 pattered papers. The smaller designs are perfectly proportionate to individual boxes. Delicate 3/8" Sally White Crochet Lace was added around the entire inside of the frame for a touch of softness. Finally, the fun part--decorating each of the tiny boxes with an array of darling detail using WOC Gypsophila Deep Ivory, Bead Berry Sprays, Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms Mixed Pink, Burlap String Ivory, buttons, stickers, chipboard and die cuts.
Since my niece is expecting a baby girl this December, this will be for her. A name has yet to be chosen, so I kept it basic, but how cute would it be to personalize it with the name, date and details of birth using letter/number stickers too? I had the most delightful time decorating all of the tiny inner boxes! I finished by adding a sweet little tag tied with a 3/4" Pink Chevron Striped Twill bow.
And that's a wrap! I hope you enjoyed seeing my altered shadowbox and if you are so blessed to be expecting a precious new little one in your life or family, congratulations! Thanks so much for visiting today and until next time, happy crafting!

Autumn...

Hi crafty friends.  Bonnie here today with a fun autumn themed card to share that features some pretty ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
My card today features two of the ribbons from the August Ribbon Club Assortment.  If you aren't already a member, no worries - you can still get this great assortment!

This month we have a great deal for US residents.
You can get the August and September assortments together for a special low introductory price of just $17.00!

Not a Ribbon Club Member yet?
The August Ribbon Club Assortment is a collection of rich autumn colors and prints.  It contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and crochet lace.  The September Ribbon Club Assortment is a Halloween themed assortment with 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

I kept this card relatively flat for mailing.  You could even eliminate the Thin 3D Foam Tabs under the leaves to make it even flatter.

This is also a perfect way to use up those precious ribbon scraps that you don't want to part with.  I just dove tailed the end of two 5-1/2" pieces of each color of ribbon and even spaced them over the background Distress Ink paper I created.  I then added the leaf squares on top of the ribbon.
I get lots of questions about the 'fuzzy layer' that I use on a lot of my cards.

That layer is Mulberry paper and you can view a video on how I use it and where I get it HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other items used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft blog.  Happy crafting!
