Make Today Ridiculously Amazing Masculine Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I have a super fun masculine card to share with you today.  I know a lot of you struggle when it comes to making a card for a guy, and you are afraid to add ribbon for fear it will be too "girly" .  But it all comes down to using the right ribbon, the right color palette and little touches along the way.  The February Ribbon Club Assortment is loaded with gloriously green ribbons, and several of them, I am happy to report, lend themselves nicely for masculine projects.  Take a look at this "Make Today Ridiculously Amazing" card and you'll see what I mean.
This is such a strong masculine card, and the Emerald Plaid Ribbon adds a needed jolt of color to the vintage colors of the paper collection.   The paper layers have been distressed along the edges to give it a rugged feel.  I added more color by adding a strip of Emerald Crosshatch Ribbon to the left hand side of my card focal.
And there's nothing girly about that rugby player, right?  I drew attention to the detail photo and novelty button by encircling them with a bit of natural burlap string.  The circular element adds a bit of fun to the card layout, too.
The inside has more layered papers from the 7 Gypsies Vintage Varsity Collection and a computer journaled sentiment.  Easy peasy, masculine and fun!  Who knew it could be so simple to make a great masculine card?

Thanks for stopping by!

It would be a great help to us if you would consider turning off your word verification if it's active on your blog. To do this is really easy and all you need to do is go to Customize > Settings > Comments > then scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (this won't stop anybody leaving you a comment but they won't show on your blog until you approve them). Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)

My Girl

Happy Thursday ya'll!   My day here at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I have two projects for you today.  A Valentine puppy tag...pure retro!  I used Paradise Aqua seam binding along with lipstick red seam binding.  I topped off my paper bow with the prettiest two tone cottage roses in blue.  I love them!!!
My other card is a "just because" card.......an encouraging card.  I have had these Crate chipboard letters forever and decided to grab them and use them.  They were my jump off point.  I have been trying to use random things that have been sitting on my desk.  I used baby pink seam binding on the card.  I love the way it turned out.  Well hope you enjoy these goodies!  Hugs, cherry

Easter Wishes

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share a card I made with some beautiful pink ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.  I am sitting here in the middle of a blizzard in SE MN and all I can think about is spring with its hope of new life and flowers stating to dot the landscape.  I decided to get a jump on some Easter themed cards to cheer me up!

Isn't this retro little duckling just the cutest!?  All of my images and papers came from Polly's Paper on Etsy.  This was so easy and fun to paper piece all of her great digi images.  I also added some beautiful 7/8" and 5/8" pink gingham ribbon as a perfect finishing touch to the card.  I also put a thin coat of crystal Stickles to the flowers on the duck image.  I hope you enjoy my card and it puts you in the mood for spring.  Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone.  I'm back again today with a fun and girly birthday card featuring some pretty ribbons from the brand new February Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
This fabulous February assortment contains lots of yummy greens.  It's great for St. Paddy's Day, Spring or whatever you want.  Pull in some of the pinks from the January assortment and the colors really sing!
This assortment contains 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbony goodness.  Not a member yet?  JOIN TODAY and begin with this wonderful assortment.  What a great way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.  You'll always have the perfect ribbon for any project.
My dies are all from Cheery Lynn Designs and that gorgeous Quadrafoil Doily in my new favorite!  The roses are also handmade using Cheery Lynn Rose dies.

My beaufiful bi-color double-loop bow is the real show stopper.  It's made using 5/8" Sherbet Deliciate Stitched Satin Ribbon and 5/8" Emerald Plaid Ribbon from the February Ribbon Club Assortment.  The bow was created on my Bow-it-All V2.0.  I also ran a strip of the 5/8" Pistachio Satin with Grosgrain Edge Ribbon topped with 3/8" Mixed Green Vertical Stripe Ribbon across the middle of the card under the sentiment for more texture.  Both of those styles are from the February assortment as well.  I love the mix of darker green and lighter 'yellowy - green' colors.  Add in a zing of pink and it's really quite eye catching.

For a video tutorial on how to create this fantastic bow, please click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Irish Bingo Saint Patrick's Day Bingo Greeting Card

Hey there Paper Peeps!  The first is always a fun day for me as I get to introduce you all to the new Ribbon Club Assortment. Every month Bonnie creates the bestest collection of ribbons and trims to add to your projects. That girl has some mojo to know just exactly what I'm going to want to use.

This set really lives up to it's name....it truly is Gorgeously Green!!! I was inspired to create an Irish Bingo Saint Patrick's Greeting Card.

I'm using my St Patrick's Day Bingo Card Digital Collage as the focal image and layered on all sorts of yummy little holiday inspired elements. Topped of with some fabby poofy bows created with the Gorgeously Green Ribbon Club Assortment.
Okay that's all for me. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
