Snow Much Fun!

Christmas Cards are Snow Much Fun!

Hello, Friends! Today I'm sharing these delightfully vintage Christmas cards. These were "snow much fun" to make with the "Let it Snow" Creativity Kit from Polly's Paper Studio and fabulous ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Kathy by Design/Let it Snow Creativity Kit
I added loads of texture with stitching, red burlap, ribbon and trims. A vertical border was created with Poppy Red Satin Ribbon with Silver Edging. The soft sheen of the ribbon and the touch of sparkle are perfect for this card. And taffeta ribbon is so festive for the holidays, don't you agree? My double loop bow is tied with Poppy Red Taffeta Ribbon and topped with a bit of black burlap string for contrast. The black vintage buttons are threaded with Red Burlap string that I tied into cute little bows.

I think this little girl and boy are sweet on one another! To pick up on the grey background, I tied a bow with Grey Plaid Ribbon. A red burlap string bow is layered beneath my vintage button. Here's a peeky at the inside of this card.

I love the way these pretty ribbons complete the vintage feel of these Snow Much Fun cards!

Thanks for stopping by!

Holly Jolly Merry and Cheer

Popping in real quick folks!  Today is the second day of my son's basketball tournament and we are busy busy.  It's my day here at RRR and I am sharing some over the top cute tags, perfect to top that package off with this year.  My papers are all from a JoAnn's paper pad from several years ago.  My adorable dimensional images are from Walmart of all places....you just never know!  I used Chevron Striped Twill in red , Plaid Ribbon in celery green, and Christmas Red Zig Zag on white satin as my tying ribbon.  I used lots of fun layers to really bring these to life.  I can't live without adhesive foam. Nothing is the same without it.  Once done with all my layers I added some fun mini toppers...bottle brush wreaths, snowballs, and berries.  These are really very simple.....I think what makes them pop is the dimension, diecuts, and colorful ribbons. Enjoy!   Cherry

Retro Holidays

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am dropping by today to share a retro holiday card I created using some awesome ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

I layered several papers and images from one of my hoarded creativity kits that I purchased from Pollys Paper on Etsy.  I wrapped Poppy Red Diamond Satin ribbon and 3/8" Celery Green Plaid ribbon around the card base and topped it with a bow made from the same Poppy Red Diamond Satin ribbon.  To finish the card, I added some crystal Stickles all over the snowman to make him sparkle and three red gemstones at the bottom of the card.  I hope you enjoy this retro creation and don't forget to head over to the store for all of your holiday ribbon needs.  Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful Bow-Topped Christmas Ornament Tutorial using the Bow-it-All V2.0

Hi friends.  It's December and there is no more avoiding it.  Christmas is right around the corner!
But no worries - Really Reasonable Ribbon has all the ribbons, tools and embellishments you need for your holiday projects.
I got an email from my friend and fellow Bow-it-All lover Karen (Hi Karen!!) asking me for suggestions about adding a pretty bow to the top of a filled glass ornament.  That got the wheels turning and here is what I came up with.  I'm also including a video tutorial down near the bottom of the post.  I hope you'll take a look.
All my ornaments today were made with ribbons from either the November or December Ribbon Club Assortments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Each assortment contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and trim.
Not a member yet?  JOIN TODAY and begin with these two fabulous assortments for a special low price.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try out new ribbon styles.
Gift subscriptions are available for crafty friends in 3, 6 or 12-month options.

The first two ornaments were made using styles from the November Silver and Gold Ribbon Club assortment.  The rest were made with styles from the December assortment.
I've included several samples with just bows or bows embellished with Mulberry Flowers or pearls with two different ways to add the bow to the ornament.  You can use any of the bow styles from previous tutorials, just be sure to add the Metallic String when tying your locking c-knot.
The bows were all constructed using the Bow-it-All V2.0 which is my favorite tool of all time.  If you don't have one yet, you may want to put it on your list for Santa.

If you liked the video, I would love to have you head on over to YouTube by clicking the YouTube link in the bottom right corner of the video above and then click the thumbs up and leave me a comment.  I love to hear from you.

This is my favorite bow style and my favorite of the ornaments I created.
If you are mass producing for family, co-worker or neighbor gifts, you may want to go with a more basic style bow which will be a little faster.  For fun ideas on how to fill your glass ornament visit Pinterest.  There are so many fantastic ideas out there.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed the tutorial.  I'd love to have you visit my at my Make Time to Craft Blog as well.
