Halloween Fun

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!
Now that September is upon us, we have to start thinking about those fall holidays.  Before you can say "BOO, " we'll be carving pumpkins and cutie pie Trick or Treaters will be ringing our doorbells on Halloween.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has a great Haunted Halloween Mix in the Ribbon Club Collection this month, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to pair these fabby ribbons up with Carta Bella's Trick or Treat paper collection.
This is a cute altered box filled with Halloween cards.   My black border was created with Gladys Black Crochet Lace. Doesn't it look like a spider web?  Gotta love that!.  It adds great texture to the box cover, too!  My beautiful triple bow is made with silky soft Houndstooth Black Plaid Ribbon.  This ribbon is fabulous to work with: soft, supple and easy to tie, especially with my Zutter Bow-it-All.  I topped it with an orange burlap string loopy bow.
That's a sparkly bat charm on top of the bow, and an orange foil rosette.  I punched the numbers from the paper collection and then hit them with a little Diamond Stickles, then added teeny tiny sequins to make them shimmer.
I used the spook-tacular Spider Webs on Black Grosgrain Ribbon to create a border on the bottom of the box.  I layered this same ribbon over Orange Sheer Organza with Satin Edges.  I love the way this makes those spider webs POP. I added a brad to a triple layer of scallop punched circles that I ran through an embossing folder to decorate the front of the lid.
The inside of the box is filled with 6 simple 4" square cards, each decorated with Trick or Treat papers, sequins a button and a touch of ribbon from the September Ribbon Club Collection.  I love the retro feel of this paper, don't you?
Here's a peeky at all six cards.  Wouldn't these make great party invites?  Or, you could set up a photo booth at your Halloween party, and then put the photo inside the card when you mail your thank you notes.  You could even clip them onto some ribbon or twine and use them as a banner.
Here's another photo with one of the cards open.  I finished each card the same way on the inside.  Sweet and simple!

And, if you haven't seen it yet, here's a look at the fabulous Haunted Halloween Mix in the September Ribbon Collection.

Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)

Vintage Halloween Banner

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share a banner I made with ribbons from the new September Ribbon Club Assortment and the Vintage Inspired Halloween Creativity Kit from Polly's Paper Studio Etsy shop.  I have to start out by explaining that Halloween is my favorite holiday after Christmas.  I just love the crisp fall weather, the pumpkins, the candy, and the fun spookiness of it all.  I was so excited to be able to create a banner to decorate with!
I cut out the banner shapes with the Stitched Party Banners Die by Lawn Fawn in black cardstock and then layered the patterned papers and cute images from the kit on top.  I inked all of the edges with Black Soot Distress ink.  I added pearls and Rhinestones in black and orange to add a bit of sparkle.  I then threaded the banners onto Black and White Houndstooth Plaid Ribbon.  I created two double layer triple loop bows with my Bow-It-All tool and some Orange Sheer Organza with Satin Edges ribbon.  I finished it off with White Gypsophilia Flowers by each hole and on the orange bows.

I hope you enjoy this banner as much as I enjoyed making it.  Make sure to head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon store for all of your Halloween themed ribbons.  Have a wonderful day!

Friends Make Everything Better!

Hello ribbon lovers.  Summer is exiting quickly and I'm just having trouble keeping up!  I'm still loving the bi-color double-loop bow style and my card today is featuring this very bow created with my favorite ribbon styles from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I soooo wanted to use this purple bow with the gingham on this card, but I just couldn't make it work.  I thought it might with the thin purple borders on the card, but nooooo.  So, I have a purple bow in the bank for another project.
The gorgeous bow on my card below was made with Jade Diamond Satin Ribbon and White Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon on my Bow-it-All V2.0.  You can view a video tutorial on how easy this bow is to make on my YouTube Channel HERE.
This bow adds quite a punch to finish off your card.  This is my all-time favorite bow.  It's easy to make and makes you look like a master bow-maker!
Thanks so much for stopping by the RRR Blog today.  For more information on the other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Halloween House Tag

Hey there Peeps! Happy September first! You know what that means?? Right... I get to share a fun project created with the new Ribbon Club Selection Haunted Halloween Mix.

I don't even have to tell you how much I love this assortment of spooktacular trimmings!!!!

This new Black and White Houndstooth  has moved into my #1 favorite ribbon position. I'm using my Vintage Halloween Tags with Harlequin Background digital collage sheet as a focal image and layered lots of patterned papers from my holiday stash.

I've got some fun punched flowers topped off with Cottage Roses and Open Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

There's some additional vintagy images from my Vintage Halloween Creativity Kit.
I've added a bit of Gladys Black Crocheted Lace to the roof of the little house and topped it off with some dimensional trims.
Okay that's all for me. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
