Life is better.... By Jenn Cochran

Hi to all the Really Reasonable Ribbon friends and fans.  Have you tied a bow with any of the Delicate Stitched Satin?  I just love how this beautiful ribbon ties so easily.  I find it easiest to tie using the Bow It All 2.0.
The Delicate Stitched Satin has a really pretty pattern that is created by the stitching on the ribbon.  It comes in several different colors.  I have used the Delicate Stitched Lemon Satin.  It is a really vibrant color of yellow.
I liked how the friendship sentiment went with the roses and yellow ribbon.  After all, yellow roses mean friendship!
Thank you so much for visiting RRR today.  Hope to see you back on Friday for our new challenge!

Dragonfly Birthday Wishes

Have I mentioned how in love I am with all the beautiful colors and styles of Mulberry Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts that we are now offering at Really Reasonable Ribbon?  Well, I am IN LOVE!!  If you haven't been by to take a look lately, head on over because there are loads of new options in the store.

I pulled my color combination from the image and used purple and light turquoise.  You never have to twist my arm to use purple on a card!  I used flowers from each of the sets below to embellish my card.

These are a new offering and they are available in 8 colors.

I created my bi-color double-loop bow with grape and turquoise Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon which is my all time favorite ribbon.  The bow was made using my Bow-it-All V2.0 Tool.  You can view my video tutorial on how to make this fun bow HERE.
Don't forget about the wide range of bow sizes you can make with your Bow-it-All Tool.  You can make bows from 1/4" all the way up to 9-3/4" wide.  I whipped up the tiny 1/4" bow made from purple Burlap String in seconds to top off my sentiment panel.
For more information on other products used on my card, please stop in and visit me at my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Thanks a Bunch

Hi Everyone, it's Teresa here today wishing you all a very Happy Monday and I hope you all had a chance to check out our blog hop last week and the new challenge up for this month.  We are starting to create for fall this month and it's my favorite time of year so I am really having fun with it!!
I so love cards with Big Ribbons on them and I know you can't mail them easy but they sure are pretty aren't they?  I used a 6x6 paper pad from Basic Grey called Herbs and Honey.  It had the perfect colors to go with my pretty ribbon that I got.  I used a few of the layers of the Triple Floral Die set from Spellbinders to make the layers and then added a pretty sticker in the center to finish it off.
The ribbon for this is called "Wrinkled Ribbon" and I chose the pretty Orange color in the 1.5 width. I love all the pretty embossed details in the papers too.  It's so rich with gorgeous fall color. ....

Thanks for stopping over and hope you get inspired to make something fun!

Birthday Party Favors

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!

This past Tuesday was my younger sister's birthday.  My daughter and I schemed together and organized a little surprise party for her.  We invited 2 of her best friends, and booked a gourmet olive oil/balsamic vinegar tasting party and luncheon at a local boutique.  If you're not familiar with these, they are kind of like a wine tasting for foodies.  You can look at a link HERE.  Anyway, I wanted to make a little party favor for each guest to take home and decided to put together a little file folder notebook so we could write down our favorite pairings, recipe suggestions and the like.
The base folder is made with heavy weight red cardstock.  I printed out the cute file folder design on the front from my Crafty Secrets Retro Kitchen Kit, sizing it so that I could fit a junior legal pad on the inside.  Then I loaded them up with ribbon to make them really cute!

To keep with the kitschy color scheme of the project, I layered a double row of 5/8" wide black plaid ribbon, using Scor-Tape to hold it in place.  I wrapped it around the sides of the file folder before I glued the front onto the base so that the edges would be nice and neat.   I added a layer of Red Canvas Color Band Ribbon in between the two rows of black plaid ribbon.  This was a quick and easy way to create a border on each folder.
The aprons were fussy cut from Domestic Goddess Creative Scraps and popped up on foam adhesive dots.  A pretty double bow made from 3/8" Red Plaid Ribbon was topped with a loopy bow made with red and black burlap string.  I used my Zutter Bow-it-All to tie all my bows. And of course, I topped it off with a cherry button!
Inside, I created a slash pocket on the left.  I topped my junior legal pad with Midnight Waves Striped Grograin Ribbon. Again, I ran my Scor-Tape around to the back of the pad and wrapped the ribbon ends behind so that they look nice and neat and will not fray.
To create the base folder, I just trimmed my red cardstock to measure 8" wide x 10 3/4" I scored it on the long side at 5" and again at 5 1/4", then folded to form the booklet.  Easy peasy!

The ribbons and trims made this quick and easy project "party ready."  Oh, and the party was soooo much fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Rustic Farmhouse...

Hello!  Missed you all at the RRR blog hop!  My computer came down sick with a virus and some lovely spyware/malware.  Just got it back today and popped in to share another fun little galvanized envelope decked out in rustic touches.   I used a couple of simple vintage touches...a bingo chip and vintage milk cap with the last of my gingham washi tape.  I used lipstick red seam bindingcotton blend 2 1/2 inch plain ribbon that I ripped in half, and a bit of cherry twine.  That is it!  Very simple and oh so farmhouse!  Two of my favorite things!  Happy Saturday!  cherry

Shabby Chic with Ribbons

For the August RRR Blog Hop, please click HERE or scroll down.

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today to share a lovely little vintage Shabby Chic inspired card.  All of the papers including the image is from Polly's Paper and her beautiful Victorian Trading Card Creativity Kit.  These kits make card making so easy!

I distressed the papers with a distressing tool and inked the edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink.  I layered them all over a band of Beige Canvas Color Band Ribbon and Arianna Natural Crochet Lace in ivory.  I then created a small bouquet to the top corner with a variety of Mulberry flowers.  I then finished the flower cluster with a double loop bow in the same Beige Canvas Color Band Ribbon made with my Bow-It-All tool.  I then adhered the card to a white A2 top folding card base.  I finished it off with some chocolate flat backed pearls from my stash and some Crystal Stickles on the image.

All of the supplies highlighted above can be found at the Really Reasonable Ribbon store, so go check it out.  I hope you enjoy this lovely Shabby card.  Have a wonderful day!
