Freshen Up with Ribbon and Roses

I was cleaning up the other day and had to change a few of my air fresheners that I keep around the house and got this idea to make wraps for them that I could put on to decorate them up a bit.  I made mine with the G45 Fairy Collection but you could do them for anything in your house even fun ones for the holidays.  How fun would that be?
So to make these, take a simple piece of copy paper and a pencil and make a pencil rubbing of the lines on the air freshener container.  This will give you the curve of the container and then you can draw the lines straighter and make your pattern.  I also made a smaller pattern to create a piece for the inside so that it looks matted.  Then I glued them together and again along the seam down the back.

Then I got out lots of "Roses" and "Mulberry Flowers", "Seam Binding Ribbon" and "crochet lace" and created a flower spray to decorate the front of it.  The leaves were cut using a Spellbinders die in a green that matches the paper and that's all there is too it.  It's much prettier now and you can slide it off and change them anytime you want.  Since we are doing fall ribbons with the Ribbon Club this month, I will have to come up with something fun for those too.  Be sure and check back again :)

Have a Wonderful and very crafty day...Teresa

Autumn Days at the Beach

RRR Autumn Days Ribbon Collection and Graphic 45 Botanica Bella

Hello, Ribbon Lovers! It's the beginning of a new month, and you know what that means! There's a gorgeous new Ribbon Club Assortment at Really Reasonable Ribbon! Feast your eyes on these scrumptious ribbons!

 https://www.reasonableribbon.com/item_images/august2015lge.gif

I combined gorgeous Autumn Days Ribbon and Botanica Bella papers from G45 to create a beach themed card. Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

You wouldn't normally think of using autumn colors like this on a beach themed card, but they are just the perfect match for these beautiful Botanica Bella papers from Graphic 45. I found a stack of ancient mulberry paper in the Closet of Shame and I've been using it in my crafting. I find I like the texture it adds when used as a layering medium as I did here. The Moss and Cream Plaid ribbon match it so well!

I love the way the Tangerine with Gold Shimmer Satin Ribbon pulls out the rusty tones in the paper layers. And when it's layered up with more of the Moss and Cream plaid...well, I'm in love! I also added some great texture by adding a small piece of Debra Natural Crochet Lace to my background panel. Just a little bit of this beautiful lace makes a big statement!

Here's the inside of the card....with room to write a personal note. And yes...I love sea horses. Especially when they are combined with beautiful papers and ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

Let Your Dreams Set Sail

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back today with a shaker card that I made using some new products from Simon Says Stamp and Twine from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

I stamped the anchors to create a background for my shaker element and then built the shaker on top using acetate and oval Stax Die Namics from MFT.  I used a variety of sequins from my stash to fill the shaker.  I stamped the clouds, boat, and waves on white 110lb cardstock and then watercolored them lightly so the cardstock would not pill.  I fussy cut it all out and created a scene around the shaker oval.  I die cut the 'Congratulations' sentiment from SSS out of red cardstock and made it more dimensional with glossy accents.  I also stamped another sentiment from the same stamp set underneath the die-cut word.  I added a little patterned paper from my July SSS card kit for an accent around two sides of the card.  The twine I tied to the top is Ivory Burlap String.

I hope you enjoy this card!  I really love how fun and nautical it turned out.  Have a wonderful day.

Baby boy and girl cards..

Happy Monday!  Got lots going on today!  How about you?    I am popping in to share a couple of baby cards made for RRR .   It is always good to have a few premade cards for someone's new addition.  My first uses Pebbles goodies along with plaid ribbon in gray and Blueberry Pie buttons.  My little girl card, naturally more soft and feminine uses Bella Carte goodies along with seam bindings in baby pink and rose.   I also used a bit of 2 1/2 inch cotton blend in natural ribbon.  Always fun to do baby cards and goodies!  Hope you enjoy!  hugs, cherry

Vintage Birthday Wishes

Hi friends.  Today I have a bit of a vintage birthday card to share.  Never really sure if I can pull off the vintage look, but this fits the bill (a little??).  I've embellished with loads of fun ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon where you can find what you need for whatever crafting style you favor.
I used two of the ribbon styles from the new August Ribbon Club Assortment on my project along with a few small snippets of Brown Burlap String.  The August Assortment is Autumn Themed, but when you pull out one or two styles, they can work for any variety of themes or styles.
Not a member of our monthly Ribbon Club yet?  JOIN TODAY and begin your subscription with this Autumn mix.  This assortment has 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and trim.  What a fun way to build you ribbon stash and try out new ribbon styles.  You might find a new favorite!
I wrapped a piece of turftan brown satin with grosgrain edge around the center panel of the card and secured it on the back.  I layered a piece of 3/8" moss/cream plaid over that and dove-tailed the ends.  My double loop bow was created with the same brown ribbon on my Bow-it-All V2.0.  I added the brown burlap string using the helping hands clips the same way you would add a back ribbon and then trimmed the ends to the desired length.  To view all my Bow-it-All Videos, please visit my YouTube channel HERE.
I added several Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Roses in different colors and sizes below the central image for a little something extra.  I coiled the stems around a needle tool for a fun look.

For more information on other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.
Thank so much for stopping by today.

Fall Card with Autumn Days Ribbon Club Assortment

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here to share a project I created inspired by the lovely Fall colors and patterns of the Autumn Ribbon Club Assortment.
This collection is super perfect for Fall and Thanksgiving. Warm rich colors and Autumn patterns.
I created a Thanksgiving card with layers of patterned papers, a vintage image from my Thanksgiving  Large Cards Digital Collage Sheet, and loads of flowers and embellishments.
I chose to print the image a bit smaller so I could add lots of layers.
This bow is topped off with gorgeous little Orange Open Roses. There is also Antique Gold Burlap String, and a bloom from Petaloo.

Thanksgiving Large Cards Collage Sheet now available for instant download. It's perfect for cards , tags, holiday decor, and it matches the ribbon club assortment perfectly!
Okay that's all for me. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : )
