Easter Wishes

Hi there crafty peeps!  It's Amber here today to share with you a card I made with some gorgeous ribbon and lace from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.  There is a GREAT SALE going on right now through Friday 3/6, so now is a  great time to stock up!  I decided to get a bit of a head start on my Easter cards for this year.

I used an image from the "Easter Wishes" stamp set by Flourishes.  I colored it with my Copic markers.  The papers are from Websters Pages "New Beginnings Collection".  I matted the paper with Lemon Chiffon cardstock from My Favorite Things.  I added a few yellow pearls from BoBunny as an accent.

I wrapped the blue ribbon from the Pastel Diamond Satin Assortment around the card.  I then wrapped Sandra White Crochet Lace on the top of that.  I wanted it to reflect the ribbon tied around the egg in the stamped image.  I then added an assortment of spring colored Mulberry flowers as an accent to the bow I created with the same blue ribbon and my Bow-It-All tool.  I hope this inspires you to pull out your spring crafting supplies and whip up some fun Easter/Spring creations of your own.  Have a wonderful day!

Lovely Are The Colors Of Spring

Click HERE to pick up the SALE codes for our current Really Reasonable Ribbon SALE this week through Friday, 3/6/15.

Hey peeps.  Are you all over this wintry mess?  I know I'm ready for some warmer weather to stick around for a while.  I'm so ready to open up the windows and let some fresh air in.  So with that in mind I thought I would make a spring card to get you all ready to break out all your lovely spring colored ribbon.

I used the beautiful green satin swiss mini dots ribbon for my card today.  I love how this ribbon is so easy to work with.  I used my Bow-It-All to make this double bow for my card.  All the satin ribbon Bonnie carries in the shop is simply beautiful.  So pretty and soft.

Here is a close up of my card.  Isn't the ribbon fabulous? And by using the Bow It All, it makes me look like I really know what I'm doing.  LOL

I hope you liked my card for today.  Now for a bit of shopping fun.  Head on over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop and fill your cart with all the lovely colors of spring.  Bonnie has the best prices out there on tons of pretty ribbon and THERE IS A SALE GOING ON RIGHT NOW!  I know you're ready to be winter over with.

Middy Biddy Bag Pocket Card

Hello friends of Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It's your crafty friend, Karen Letchworth, here today sharing a sweet Pocket Card using a Kraft Middy Biddy Bag With Vertical Stripes and LOTS of other FABULOUS ribbons, trims, laces, flowers and more from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I would LOVE to have you pick up some of these wonderful Middy Biddy Bags and give it a try for yourself.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has everything you will need!

My project for today was created using LOTS of great products from Really Reasonable Ribbon including the base, which is a Kraft Middy Biddy Bag With Vertical Stripes.  And please...DON'T let the term "middy biddy" make you think that they're tiny.  They're NOT!  They are good sized at 5" wide x 7.5" tall.  I took the Kraft Middy Biddy Bag With Vertical Stripes and folded the bottom of the bag half-way back up, and then machine stitched it down; leaving an opening/pocket at the top so that you can tuck in photos, a gift card, a special note, or anything else you can think of.  This "pocket" will be in addition to the "pocket" or "hole" that automatically comes with the opening of the bag itself.  I hope that makes sense.  These little "Pocket Cards" make such a cute little gift because they're more than a card, and much fancier, but still just a simple little treat you can tuck in an envelope and send through the mail with ease.  And everyone LOVES them!

To create this "Pocket Card", once the Kraft Middy Biddy Bags With Vertical Stripes was machine stitched and secured, I decorated it by adding a half of a vintage cream doily, some little tickets/scrap pieces, a digital image, a miniature clothespin with glitter that holds a tiny tag, some vintage style scotch tape, a little button, and LOTS of great Really Reasonable ribbons and trims which include their sweet Arianna Naural Crochet Lace, three leaves from the Moss Green Leaf RibbonPink Aster Seam Binding, adorable Light Pink Gingham Ribbon, Natural Wide Burlap With Pink/White Wired Edge, some darling little Baby Pink Open Roses, rich gorgeous Deep Ivory Rosebuds, and a wonderful White Frosted Spiral Stamen.  They all mix together SO beautifully.

Thanks for stopping by to take a quick peek at my Really Reasonable Ribbon project for today.  You can find LOTS more great ribbon inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and you can even play along in our current challenge and share what you've created.  And of course, Really Reasonable Ribbon is a great place to shop for ribbons, laces, trims, decorative bags, flowers, and SO much more.

We really do look forward to seeing what you will create using ribbon, and hope that you will stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store to take a look at ALL the fabulous things they carry.  It really makes crafting easy and fun, and you will LOVE their reasonable prices, affordable shipping, excellent customer service, and GORGEOUS products.  Why not treat yourself today?

Happy crafting, everyone!
