Christmas Bells Are Ringing By Jenn Cochran

Hello to all the RRR friends and fans.  It's Jenn here from Jax Bean Stalks with another fun card and some fabbie Really Reasonable Ribbon!  With Christmas fast approaching (forget Halloween and Thanksgiving LOL!), I thought I would give you a couple of simple card ideas.

For this 1st card, I have used RRR's Plaid Ribbon Christmas/Red/Green/Gold.  This fun ribbon is really easy to tie.  And the picture doesn't do it justice.  The Gold is just beautiful running in tiny little threads throughout the ribbon.  This is definitely a go to for your Christmas projects.

Nothing like a White Christmas.  This fun card features RRR's Double Faced Satin in White.  It comes in a variety of sizes.

Hope these two cards get you motivated to start your Christmas Cards!!!  Thanks for stopping by on your Sunday to take a look!

Cute Idea for Christmas this year

Everything has a bit of inspiration to it's beginnings and today my project is something that would be really fun to make for your kids or have them help you with.  I found a chipboard mailbox in my local hobby store and thought how fun to make up one for Santa to leave special messages in or treats for your kids for the holidays.  They could write a special letter to him or maybe even notes, and of course Santa would send something special via the elves to answer back :)  How special would that be for a Christmas memory this year?

So to make my box, I used the chipboard mailbox and cut pieces of paper to fit the sides and the front, back and the bottom.  I used quick dry liquid adhesive to glue all the pieces on, and then I inked the edges to make it a little more rustic and vintage.  The paper I used is from My Minds Eye Christmas collection.  I love the colors of it and the tags were nice to use on the side too.

Here is a closeup of the ribbons and gold cording I used to decorate the handle that lets them know that something special is inside when it is up.  I used wrinkled ribbon in green and burgundy seam binding too.  The flower is made with a Spellbinders die in papers to match with gold on the edges.

If you are doing lots of projects this year you are going to love to use some of the metallic gold and silver strings.  They are easy to use and you can slide things like bells and other little goodies on
easily to dress up your projects like I did.

So thank you for dropping over and don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my idea today.... Have a wonderful day... Teresa

RRR October Blog Hop Winner!

This is the second post of the day. Be sure to scroll down to see the beautiful project that Cheryl has made for us today.

Thank you so much for hopping along with us this month on the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings Blog Hop. We had so much fun and we hope you did too!! We'll be hopping on the 13th of each month, so be sure to mark your calendars and join us again next month.

As far as my question of the month about when you start your holiday projects, it seems from the comments, that most of us have good intentions of starting our holiday projects early, but in reality it rarely happens.  Well, at least you know you are in good company!

Now, on to our winner who will receive the October Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The winner will have 48 hours to contact me by clicking on the contact button at the top of the blog and sending me your full name and shipping address.

Congratulations Helen Strahan!

I start my Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards in August -- this way I'm not in a panic since all three holidays are in a row. Really like your card wrapped like a gift box - would also be good for a birthday gift with a different color scheme. Thanks for the ideas.

Now if you didn't win, don't worry!! We will be 'hopping' each month so you'll have another chance to win soon! We hope you stop by and visit our blog often.

Be sure to check out our current challenge here. We'd love to have you play along with us. Have a super day!

Christmas Mini Page 2 with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with Page 2 of a Christmas Mini I'm currently working on for a Christmas Gift.  On this page I used some more of the beautiful Really Reasonable Ribbon that is in this month's Ribbon Club Kit.  I LOVE all the Christmas ribbons and lace in this month's kit.

I used ribbon for the tag pulls, and also made bows for all the tags. There are two tags to the left that pull out for photos, and one tag at the bottom for more photos.  All have bows and ribbon pulls on them.

Next I added some of the beautiful lace to the left bottom corner, and then the right upper corner. In the photo below, you will see some of the Green Delicate Stitched Satin, used as tag pulls on both of the tags on the inside.

I love how this 2nd page turned out for my mini.  It's been a long time since I've made a Christmas Mini, so I'm super excited to be working on this one.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a super wonderful day!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

'Twas the Night Before Christmas Tag

Well hello there Paper Peeps! I've been a busy little elf working on the projects for my Christmas gifts. Today I'm sharing a tag I created with lovely RRR trims , 'Twas the Night Before Christmas patterned papers from Graphic 45, and fun dimensional embellishments.

As you can see, I've added a lot of depth by building the layers with foam spacers. Lots of layers of vintagy images with chipboard elements, sparkly snowflake and gorgeous Mulberry Flowers.

This scrumptious bow was created with wider Red Plaid and  Snowflakes on Red Satin Ribbons. I topped it off with a glittery pine cone.

I thought it would look nice to add an extra layer of the holly...so I clipped out small sections...and scored it to fold and give more depth.
Okay...that's one more gifty project done....there's only like elebenty hundred to go....good thing I got an early start : ) Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative...G

* You may enter up to 6 projects, but you're asked to provide newly designed projects. No back-linking please.
* All projects must also include some sort of ribbon, lace or trim.

PLEASE consider turning off your word verification.
It would be a great help to us if you would consider turning off your word verification if it's active on your blog. To do this is really easy and all you need to do is go to Customize > Settings > Comments > then scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (this won't stop anybody leaving you a comment but they won't show on your blog till you approve them). Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)
