Happy Birthday Son/Funky Fold Card

Hello everyone,
today I'm sharing a Funky Fold card I designed for my Son, it was his 20th Birthday this last Wednesday! I did use Lots of Really Reasonable Ribbon on his card & Guns.

I'm not into making manly cards, but I do when needed....hehehehe.  I'm a girly girl for sure! On this card, I did notice that maybe I should have left off the doily, but I thought at the time it broke up the background and image doily.

I used Really Reasonable Ribbon's Beautiful Leaves Trims(in Black & Brown
Love the look of those. Bonnie does carry a ton of colors in the leaves!!

I also used all Buttons from Really Reasonable Ribbon too. I used Ivory & Latte packs.

The bow was made using Brown Satin.

For the dp, I used Graphic45. I love the colors on this piece. I also used CottageCutz Doily's(Scalloped Doily, and Oval Doily & Frame)
My stamped Guns are from Victorine Originals Stamps
and
all distressing and coloring is done w/Tim Holtz Distress inks.

Thank you for looking and have a lovely weekend!!
Hugs to all,

Summer Fun Layout

Hey folks..it's Ginny here with a super sweet and simple summer layout.   I was able to use some pics from an older layout....and some fun paper patterns and embellishments. How long have I had this picture??? Well...Alex  the little blond kiddo in the pic is starting college. His buddy is my BFFs son Caleb is going to be a junior in high school. LOL
I created the fun banner with paper cut outs, Brown Paper Cord and added sassy little bows of Moss Green Gingham from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
The rest of the embellishments are stickers from a large sticker sheet, and some small file folders with some book paper inside.  Adding brown borders and ink helps to define the patterns. This is one of the few layouts I've created that will actually fit in a book. lol
I firmly believe that it's okay to rework your layouts to reflect your evolving styles  and increased abilities. We are always picking up new techniques and skills...why not update creations????
I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative. Huggs G

'Me @ 12' Layout

Good Morning!
I am here this morning with a layout for you all.
It is a little different than my normal, but I am
loving the yellow and turquoise mix!
This is my 12 year old from last year.
I wanted to capture her unsuspecting so that I had a true image of HER.  Not her random goofy faces....which I am sure all 12 old do for the camera!
This is "Me @ 12"
and I featured a lot of twine
in here a lot to help "tie"it all together.

I used the twine to "stitch" the papers together.
Here is a close up of the stitching:

I know I say it a lot, but I am gonna say it again.
I LOVE the RRR Store
Bonnie has so many varieties of twine and ribbons!
Go check it out and create something beautiful!
Have a great day!

Darling Baby Girl

Happy Wednesday my friends!  Cherry here to share a sweet baby album made for RRR.  Every time I do a mini album I always wonder why I don't do more of them because I enjoy doing them so much!  They do take longer than some altered projects or cards but I always feel such a sense of accomplishment when done.  I started with a nice sturdy chipboard base that I painted cream and distressed.  I than picked my papers and alternated them every other page mixing and matching.  I stuck to around 4-5 patterns and repeated them for continuity.   I started by embellishing the front page with my goodies.  I added sweet details like the little stars, buttons, and mini diecuts for interest.  The inside I heavily embellished each page to the right keeping my baby theme.  The left side pages I added vellum envelopes to tuck memories and lockets of baby's hair.  Or any keepsake Mama might want to tuck away.  There is also room for pictures of the wee one. I added Carolina white crochet lace at the bottom of each page.  Once done I assembled my pages together and it was ready for the cherry on the top!  All the sassy ribbons that I tied onto the rings.  This is the fun part I think.  I love tying on the ribbons and adding little trinkets and sentiments in between.  I used pink grosgrain in circus dots,  pink chevron grosgrain, satin with scalloped edge in pink, and Diamond satin in pearl pink.  This is a great way to use up shorter snippets of ribbons.  Well that is about it.  Hope you enjoy!  Have a wonderful day and rest of your week.   hugs, cherry

Rain or Shine

We had a lovely spring rain a couple of days ago -- I loved the sound of it on my deck, and when I woke up, there was a delicious fog all around that made me feel like I was in England! It burned off by 10 a.m. and left a cloudless sky.

Sometimes clouds are really fun. Like when they are die cuts from The {Stamps} of Life! Both the umbrella and the cloud dies are  designs by Stephanie Barnard:
The fun stamps are from umbrella4you. I stamped the umbrella using Stephanie's Premium Strawberry ink, and filled in with Cornflower. The dots are colored with a Copic marker.

I added some Cherries Jubilee buttons by Buttons Galore and 3/8" Aqua Floral Satin ribbon all available from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
The Aqua Floral Satin ribbon is one of my favorite ribbons Bonnie carries. The shimmer and subtle floral design is perfect for so many projects. There are three other beautiful spring colors. Type "Floral Satin" in the search bar at the store site! Buttons come in all colors and are available here.
Both the buttons and the ribbon (as well as the card panels) are adhered with Scor-Tape.

Did you see the new challenge? It's BUTTONS AND BOWS!  Come along and play with us! Thanks for stopping by today~!

Stamps: The {Stamps} of Life With Stephanie Barnard
Paper: Quite Contrary DP, Poptone Sweet Tooth
Ink: Stephanie's Premium (TSOL)
Accessories: buttons (Buttons Galore from RRR), ribbon (Really Reasonable Ribbon), umbrella and cloud dies (TSOL)
