Fall Gift Bag and Card Set

Hi Crafty RRR fans, it's Teresa here today to share an idea for a quick gift bag and card to give filled with maybe some yummy homemade jam and cookies for this fall.  I was thinking if you wanted to share some of those homemade goodies with the neighbors, this would be a fun bag to send them over in and of course it has gorgeous ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon to make it that much more extra special too.
For my project I used papers from Basic Grey's Vivienne, Herbs and Honey papers and Picadilly stickers. I loved the rich fall country colors of these and they all worked really well together.  And for my ribbons I used some "Sheer Ombre Ribbon" and a little bit of "Crochet Lace" for the top.  On the mini card I used "cream seam binding ribbon".
Here is a quick closeup of the sheer ombre ribbon.  It's really gorgeous and comes in so many colors and would be really pretty on so many projects.  I hope you like it too.  Thanks so much for stopping over today and have a really great Thursday making something fun :)

Something fun for baby girls

Hi Everyone... it's so nice to have you stop by and visit us on the RRR blog today!  I have a fun and easy project that you can do to use up lots of the ribbons that you have or you can even order more from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store to make for all those cute little baby girls in your life.
If you didn't know it already, RRR has some really fun little ribbons that are elastic like and are great for making baby hair bands.  They are super soft and come in lots of patterns and white too. I used the light blue and pink ginghams and the white to create mine with.  All you have to do for these is measure your sweet baby girls head and cut the ribbon and then stitch it by hand or sew it together to make a circle.  Then pick some of your favorite ribbons like I did and make lots of pretty bows to attach to them.  And you can be really creative by mixing and matching or just by using the same color scheme.  It was super fun and they went together really quick.
Here is a closeup of a double bow with a knot in the center.  I always tie my bows together with thread first and then tie the knot in the center and glue it on the back over the elastic tie to finish it.  I think it gives it a good finished look that way but you can also add a button or rhinestone too.

Here is a list of the ribbons that I used for my project:  Elastic Double Ruffle Ribbon,
Aren't the ribbons just so pretty?

Thanks so much for stopping over and have a really wonderful day....Teresa

Sweet Recipes Book

Hi.  It's Teresa today sharing a recipe book that I created after finding lots of goodies cleaning up my craft room this week.  Nope, there was no pre-planned project in mind but I had this idea to make up a recipe book for all the goodies that I find on Pinterest and since I found so many fun things to use this is what I came up with and it went together really quick too.....

To start, I found this simple chipboard book and this piece of polka dotted paper and I had lots and lots of pretty pink ribbons from RRR shop to tie up the sides so it all kind of came together from there.  Here are all the ribbons that I used: Gingham check ribbon, Seam Binding, metallic edged satin ribbonwhite crochet lace, satin w/grossgrain ribbon, swirls organza ribbon, and some tulle in pink.  I love doing these books because you can use so many ribbons for the insides and to tie up the outside to make it beautiful.

The birdcage, flower and corner piece are from Spellbinders dies that I cut to match the ribbons.  The envelope I had in my stash and the wooden pieces are from Prima.  Inside I bought some recipe cards and matted them in black and glued them on each page.  I think this will end up being a gift ... but I better get busy... there are so many recipes to decide from to put in it.

Thanks for stopping over and hope you all have a great day :)

New Babies for Summer

It's so good to hear the news of a new baby in someones family, so today I am sharing a card that I did for a friend knowing she is having a girl anytime this month!!  How exciting!!

One of my favorite ribbons to use is Seam Binding.  It comes in skads of colors and you can even spray your own for a more vintage look if you get the white to use.  It makes great bows and looks amazing if you wet it and scrunch it and then let it dry. Love it and have stocked up on colors so that I have it for whatever I am doing.  For my card I used the white to go with the My Baby papers from American Craft mixed with a few Pebbles tags.  It was fun to mix the papers and make lots of layers and it went together really easy... and I think she is going to like it.....

Thanks for stopping over today and be sure and check out the new summer RRR Ribbon Club Assortment this month and the Seam Binding ribbons too.

Happy Friday...Teresa

Miracles Can Happen Note Pad

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend and are rested and ready to do something crafty this week!  Today I have a fun and easy project to share that used lots of natural fibers and ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop.

I have lots of these notepads that I pick up from the Dollar Store so I thought that I would create a wrap for one of them and then decorate it with some of my favorite things.  I love the colors and it was really fun to layer all the goodies.  and...  If you read on I am going to walk you through it so you can do one too.

First you are going to need these things that I have above from the RRR shop: Jute Ribbon, Cream Mesh RibbonBurlap String in Ivory, Juliet Crochet Lace, and a little bit of Ivory Tulle for the flower on the front.

You will also need brown ink, stamp, metal findings, adhesive, kraft paper, patterned paper, feathers and
a brown fine line pen to make faux stitching and a Scor-Pad of some kind to create the wrap around it.

So to start, you are going to lay the book on your 8 1/2 x 11 piece of kraft paper and create a pattern by folding and cutting the paper the way that you would like it to wrap around.  Mine has a bottom that folds up and 2 flaps that fold over each other in the front.

After i get the pattern done the way I want it, I cut and score a new piece of kraft paper that will fit perfect over the pad.  (Remember sizes will vary for this).

Next you can cut pieces of paper to cover the top and sides and glue them on your book.  Also cut pieces of the matching papers to make a flower.  I used Spellbinders Rose Creations die set for mine.

Wrap the creme mesh ribbon around the bottom and then add layers of the lace and jute to secure it.  You can also add metal embellishments too.

For the flower I gathered the ivory tulle and made a small rosette to go under my flower and also made leaves by cutting the jute ribbon and adding that under the flower too.  I think all the beautiful textures of the ribbons and natural fibers really work well together.

To finish my project I stamped the image with brown archival ink and then cut it out and added some chalk ink around the edges.  This I put over a kraft tag that I made and slid in under the wrap that I put around it and added a pretty feather and a few flowers.  And just to make it match I added a small piece of paper over the top of the paper pad to match the pretty jacket I did.

I hope you like it and have a chance to do some for maybe the teachers or friends that you want to say thanks for just being in my life :)

Have a wonderful week... Teresa

Sew Simple Fabric Pouch

Hello Really Reasonable Ribbon fans!  Jan here today to share a simple little fabric pouch.  I've used a white flour sack towel and Aqua Baker's Twine.  Our local Dollar Store is always well stocked with towels and they work perfectly for small projects.  Using scrap pieces of the towel, I diecut flowers and added a vintage earring to the center.  To finish it up, I added a bit of fiber fill and some sweet treats.  Using a large needle, I made a loose gathering stitch at the top and then tied it shut with a bow.  I've used Aqua Baker's Twine.   Before filling the bag, I stamped a vintage sewing machine and sentiment.
