Love, Hope & Joy

Hello to all our ribbon loving friends!  It's Karen Letchworth posting today.....and let me assure you that you don't really even have to be a ribbon lover to be a lover of Really Reasonable Ribbon because we carry SO much more than just ribbons.  While we do, admittedly, carry the widest variety of ribbons and trims you can imagine; we also have gorgeous Mulberry FlowersAdhesivesEmbellishments, and...the list goes on and on.
For today's card, I used white cardstock and a piece of October Afternoon patterned paper from my stash.  I die-cut the frame from a piece of white wood grain patterned paper, and in the middle of that I stamped my sentiment which is from Simon Says Stamp Big Scripty Holiday Greetings Stamp Set. Next, I added three gorgeous White Lotus Flowers, several (light turquoise) Miniature Mixed Blue Sweetheart BlossomsTwo-Toned Turquoise Open Roses, several White Double Head Stamens and Turquoise Double Head Stamens.  Lots of fabulous Scor-Tape holds everything together securely.
I also tucked in a Green Mulberry Leaf, a White Mulberry Leaf, and some bundled Ivory Burlap String.  At the bottom right of my card, I attached a White Flat Back Pearl.  As I mentioned, there is SO much more than (oodles of) ribbons available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This card uses no less than 12 of their items, and only one of those is a spooled trim.  So, I really do hope you will stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to look around for some Christmas treats for yourself.  You will LOVE what you see.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  We always appreciate your visits and comments.  Have a wonderfully creative week, and really.....check out Really Reasonable Ribbon for all your crafting needs.  They have SO much to offer.

Blessings,
Karen

Cherish Family

What a treat to have you stop by today!  It's Karen sharing today, and I'm so glad you're here because today I'm sharing a warm and welcoming Autumn card and two matching mini albums that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I apologize that this will be a very long post because I took a photo of every page in the mini albums.  Sorry!

For my card, I started with some sweet patterned papers, stickers and chipboard from an Echo Park line called I Love Family.  I used white Bazzill Basics for my card base, and then I layered a couple of the patterned papers.  I ran a length of the 1/2" Burgundy Wrinkle Ribbon just off the center left on my card.  I used the 1/2" Burgundy Wrinkle Ribbon1/2" Olive Wrinkle Ribbon and a piece of Cream Seam Binding to make my bow.
I also added some White Double Head  Mini Stamens, Red Double Head Mini Stamens, Blue Double Head Mini StamensMatcha Green Double Head Mini Stamens, and I topped that with a 15 mm Green Mulberry Leaf20mm Brown Mulberry Leaf, an Orange Open End Rose, a Burgundy Open End Rose and a Light Mocha Open End Rose.  I just LOVE how all the sweet Mulberry Flowers elevate our cards and projects, and give them such amazing texture and life.

Next, I made two coordinating mini albums from the same Echo Park line.  I used a large glassine bag for each mini album.  You can incorporate multiple glassine bags for this project, but today's minis use just one bag each.  I decorated the pages with the patterned papers, stickers and chipboard as well as some other ephemera (journalling spots, tickets, etc.) and some photo spots so that someone can simply pop a few family photos in there...and you have a cute little family memory album.

The pockets provided by the glassine bag gave me one more place to tuck in a photo/journal mat into each album.  I didn't embellish them much.   and secured lengths of Olive Wrinkle Ribbon to the front and back so that I have a tie enclosure for the album for when it's being stored.  The page below shows the left side of the open album.  There's a bit of Ivory Burlap String at the bottom of this page, and it's topped with a sticker.
Page 2, or the right-hand side of the open mini album, gives you a peek at the pocket (to the right) which contains an additional photo/journal mat.  There's lots of extra space for attaching photos, journalling spots and memories.  These make such great little gifts during the holidays, or any time.

On my second glassine bag mini album (pictured below), I added a few Sweethearts Blossoms to the front cover along with a 30mm Green Mulberry Leaf.  And similar to the first album, this one is tied shut with lengths of the pretty 1/2" Ivory Wrinkled Ribbon on each side.

How fun are these little albums?  If you need help finding glassine bags, please let me know.  You can use a simple brown paper lunch bag, or any kind of bag.  I just like the soft, pretty feel of these super sweet, thin little bags.  A few miniature rusty paper clips, woodgrain washi tape, some chipboard, a few journalling spots here and there.....fun!
This is a peek at the left-hand side of the open album.  There aren't any additional Really Reasonable Ribbon products inside this mini album because I wanted to keep them fairly flat.  Lots of paper, lots of places for tucking in precious memories.
The next photo (below) is the right-hand side of the open album, a.k.a. Page 3.  This is also very simple, and gives a peek at the journalling card that goes in the pocket.  It's sticking out just enough for you to get a peek at it.
And finally...the last photo I'm sharing is the back cover of the album.  You can always see that pretty 1/2" Ivory Wrinkled Ribbon showing.  It's GORGEOUS, just like all of the ribbons and trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thanks again for stopping by today.  I hope you'll remember to join us on the 13th of this, and every month, for our fun BLOG HOP.  We always love to have you join the fun for your chance to win the Ribbon Club Assortment for the month...not to mention a lot of wonderful inspiration as well.  There's always something happening at Really Reasonable Ribbon, so be sure to stop by often.

Scripture Card and Tag

Hello to all our sweet blog friends!  It's Karen here today, and I thank you for stopping by to take a peek at this sweet little card and tag set I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I recently picked up this fun new pack of Echo Park patterned papers, journalling cards and stickers at Tuesday Morning, and I used them - along with lots of wonderful products from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store to create this set.......and you can always find the PERFECT ribbons, trims and adornments to match all your colorful projects at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I attached the papers, journalling card and chipboard frame using strips of Scor-Tape.  Next, I stamped my sentiment, and then....the fun began.  I used several White, Turquoise, Light Blue, Pink, Red and White Double-Head Stamens, and a length of Ivory Burlap String and Olive Burlap String to start creating the floral cluster at the top left.  I also incorporated a few different Mulberry Leaves, and some Turquoise, Pink, Yellow and Dark Blue Open End Roses.
Down at the bottom in the chipboard frame, I added more of the sweet Double Head Stamens, Turquoise and Pink Sweetheart Blossoms, more Ivory Burlap String and different colors of sequins here and there.  A bit of machine stitching, and that's about it for the card.
I also made a cute little tag to tuck inside the card.  I created this by using the same Echo Park papers.  Using strips of Scor-Tape, I attached some thin pieces of the patterned papers as well as a width of Natural Crochet Lace.  I also attached some Pink, Blue, Turquoise and White Double Head Stamens, some Open End Roses and Mulberry Flowers. I added a small sentiment sticker, and then at the top of my tag, I added a cute new 12mm Mixed Color Fish Scale Round Cabochon from the Embellishments section.   The final touches on the top of my tag include the Blue Center Stitch Burlap RibbonBright Pink Gingham Ribbon, and Light Pink Gingham Ribbon.   Really Reasonable Ribbon always helps make it easy to beautifully adorn all my projects.
Thanks for stopping by today, and please visit again soon.  There's always lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, as well as our monthly Blog Hop on the 13 of each month; so be sure to stop by there as well.

Blessings,
Karen

Hello....How Are You?

Hello!  How are you?  We're sure glad you've stopped by today as I share a sweet little card I created using several FABULOUS Really Reasonable Ribbon products. I attached two patterned papers and a journalling card using strips of Scor-Tape, and then I ran a width of sweet Bay Leaf Seam Binding across my card and used it to tie a bow along with some Lipstick Red Seam Biding.  I topped that with some 10mm Red, Mixed Blue, and Black Open Roses, one 10mm Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Leaf and some adorable Red, White, Teal and Black Double Head Stamens.
I stamped my sentiments, added a stamped flower pot and flowers, a die-cut swirl border, vintage scotch tape, and some 10mm Rhinestone Resin Flowers.  I also attached a snippet of some awesome May Arts trims including a piece of Red Center-Stitched Burlap Trim; and I topped that with a (Black) Mixed Color Plaid Fabric Covered Button.  I did a bit of inking on the edges of my papers, and that's about it.
There are so many awesome products available at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and SO much more than just the hundreds of different ribbons and trims.  You can find Embellishments, Adhesives, Hair Accessories, and everything creative you can imagine to make something wonderful.  There are also sales and promotions, lots of inspiration, and our monthly Blog Hops here on the wonderful Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog; so be sure to stop by each day so you won't miss a thing.

Making Simple Cards Look Simply Lovely

Welcome by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today, everyone!  It's always nice to have you visit us, and I hope you like what you see today as I share these cards with you.  As our name might suggest, this wonderful shop is filled with a very LARGE variety of ribbons, laces, and trims of all sorts....but that's not where it ends.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries SO much more, including Mulberry FlowersEmbellishments, and....the list goes on and on!  RRR has everything you need to create something extra special.
So, for today's post, I'm sharing two sweet cards, and each one showcases just a few of my favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It's SO easy to take a very simple card and make it "Simply Lovely" by adding just a few fabulous RRR products.  This first card was created with an ivory cardstock base and a piece of Carta Bella patterned paper.  I used a second piece of the patterned paper to die-cut a border, and just above it, I added a piece of the beautiful Juliet Natural Crochet Lace.  I added a journalling card and stamped my sentiment on that.  There's a flower sticker at the bottom right of my sentiment card; and at the top left, a beautiful floral treatment that includes a piece of bundled Ivory Burlap String, a 30mm Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Leaf, one Coral Open End Rose, and two Ivory Open End Roses.
I also added some Double Head Stamens including a few green, a few Baby Blue Double Head Stamens, and a few Red Double Head Stamens.  These sweet little accents, Wild Orchid Crafts Double Head Stamens are SO amazing; and at just $1.99 for a bundle of 160 pieces, they're a great bargain item that will add quite a lot of impact to your floral accents (as you can see).
My second card is another fairly simple card.  I used several patterned papers that I attached together with strips of Scor-Tape.  I also added some stickers and did some machine stitching in black.  While the card was nice.....it was missing something.  Ribbons!  I made a bow using a piece of Pink Center Stitch Burlap Ribbon and a piece of Brown Center Stitch Burlap Ribbon.  I also added some Baby Pink Double Head Stamens and Black Double Head Stamens, and topped the bow with a Pink Trellis Rose.
What I especially love about the Burlap Center Stitch Ribbons are their AMAZING texture.  They, like ALL of the trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon, add so much warmth and depth to your cards and projects.  Everything you need to make your "Simple Cards" look "Simply Lovely" can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon!  Thanks again for stopping by today.

Have a great week,

Thank You

Welcome by today, everyone, and thanks for stopping by as I (Karen Letchworth) share a card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon showcasing just a few of their MANY lovely trims and embellishments.  This card was put together with several different pieces of patterned paper that I attached using a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  It secures your cards together so that they will stand the test of time when their recipients receive them.  I know my Mom likes to display hers, and another friend of mine cuts off the fronts and uses them as bookmarks; so I like using an Adhesive that I absolutely KNOW won't start falling apart like cards tend to do when you don't use a quality Adhesive.  Just sayin'....Really Reasonable Ribbon carries several fabulous Adhesives (for various projects) that will hold your cards and mini albums together so that they'll last....and last, and last.
Once I had my card base together, I did a bit of machine stitching on it....just for fun.  I added a small journalling card with a rub-on sentiment (thank you), and I also added a flower that I die-cut from several sheets of inked vintage dress pattern, and I placed a vintage button in the center of the flower.  I tucked several sweet Double Head Stamens under my flower including some Baby Blue Double Head StamensWhite Double Head Stamens, and Silver Double Head Stamens.
Then, at the bottom of my card, I ran a length of Solid Natural Baker's Twine that I knotted and tied into a bow.  I topped that with a 35mm White & Green Mulberry Leave, one 15mm Ivory Open End Rose, and two 15mm Royal Blue Open End Roses (which, in my personal opinion are a bit more navy than they are royal, but.....that's just my opinion.  They do match my navy papers nicely, so they work for me.  I honestly think they pull from the colors around them.)  One thing is FOR SURE....Really Reasonable Ribbon has all the perfect ribbons, trims, Mulberry FlowersAdhesives and Embellishments (plus SO much more) to match ALL your projects.  I hope you will check out the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop and treat yourself today!
We're always here to help and to inspire.  Please let us know if you have any questions.  And please stop by again soon for even more inspiration from my talented Design Team-mates.  The creativity never stops here at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  We hope that you will visit us often so that you won't miss out on any of the fabulous projects, special sales and promotions, and SO much more.

Thanks for visiting,
Karen

It Must Be Love

Hello blog friends, and thanks for stopping by today.  It's Karen Letchworth sharing a card that was inspired by my talented teammate, Ginny, who shared a similar card back in February on her sweet blog, Polly's Paper Studio.  Her card also used a similar chicken wire background (hers was wood), and some sweet little prills (along with lots of great products from Really Reasonable Ribbon, of course).  The card she created that inspired mine was all done up in deep purples, but I chose to do mine in pink because, so far, I only have pink prills.  This is another thing on my ever-growing list of crafty items to buy.   LOL  If you click on Ginny's Blog link, you can see her sweet purple card that inspired me.  Really Reasonable Ribbon helped me make mine uniquely beautiful as well!
I started this card with a piece of softly muted pink polka dot patterned paper from Crate Paper.  Next, I cut the chicken wire background from pink Bazzill using a die-cut, and placed that on top of the patterned paper.    Carefully using clear craft glue and a tooth pick, I delicately attached my pink prills here and there on the chicken wire until I achieved my desired look.  I found this cute vintage looking journalling card among my Crate Paper scraps, and chose to use it.  My next step was to use some ivory acrylic paint to cover the wooden clock and clock hands, and then I attached them  by again using some clear craft glue.  Once all that was in place.....the fun part began.....adding the Really Reasonable Ribbon touches.
I started with a bow that I tied using a length of Textured Tow-Tone Pink Ribbon, and then I added some Baby Pink Double Head Stamens, a White Double Head Stamen, some Black Double Head StamensCotton Candy Baker's Twine, and a piece of 3/8" Black & White Gingham Ribbon.  I tucked in a sweet Small Green & White Paper Mulberry Leaf, and I topped it all with two 10mm Black Open End Roses and one Two-Tone Pink & Ivory Open End Rose.  I also tucked in a pink leaf stick pin, and hung a rusty pear-shaped safety pin that holds a small die-cut heart tag stamped with "Love".  Everything is inked with Hickory Smoke and Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
You know.....I realize that I say this all the time, but it's true!   You can literally take any piece of paper (or papers) and add a few sweet ribbons, trims, flowers, etc. from Really Reasonable Ribbon....and the next thing you know....you have something wonderful.  You really will LOVE their wonderful products.  I just adore the way Really Reasonable Ribbon's products made this card look.  And I know you will love your new products, too.  So why not treat yourself today?   Some Double Head StamensBaker's TwineFlowers and Ribbons are just what you need.   Check out everything now at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  And have fun doing it!
