The Beach is Calling Home Decor Banner

Graphic 45 The Beach is Calling Banner-Really Reasonable Ribbon-Kathy Clement

 Hello, Ribbon Lovers!

Summer is peeking around the corner, and that always makes me think about the beach!  So I dug out some of favorite Really Reasonable Ribbon trims and flowers to make this The Beach is Calling Home Decor Banner.

Really Reasonable Ribbon-Graphic 45-The Beach is Calling Banner-Kathy Clement

This great big banner is stitched onto Navy Silky Crush Ribbon and topped with Navy Striped Burlap Ribbon (out of stock, but this grosgrain ribbon would look great, too).

Each end of the banner is dressed up with pretty bows tied from Navy/Ivory/Gold Plaid Ribbon, one of my all time favorites.  I've topped my double loop bows with Gold Metallic String .

The flower clusters are made up with White Magnolias, Earth Tone Magnolias, Mixed Blue Peonies and Itty Bitty Mixed Blue Sweetheart Blossoms.

If you'd like to see how to make this lovely banner, please enjoy this video tutorial.

Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!

Sweet Strawberry Card

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you!
Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here with you today sharing a cute and easy card that I made over the iNSD weekend.  To be honest,   after a very LONG week of torrential downpours and extreme flash flooding here in my area, I am very thankful to be able to share anything with you all! While I was not affected by the flood waters, I do have several friends and family members that were.
PLEASE keep them in your thoughts as the recovery process begins. I will be going to the hospital today to visit my Aunt who broke her leg while beginning the clean up process yesterday from the 4 feet of water in her own home.

Anyway...before all the chaos began,
I was enjoying the preparation of a few cards (which I do not EVER make) to start giving handmade cards as opposed to store bought ones.  While this is not the card that I will take with me to the hospital today, this is one of my favorites from the weekend.

For this card, I pulled out some OLD favorites of mine...
My Creative Memories punches.
I paired the punches with the perfect ribbon and Burlap String Combo from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and...well...
When I combined my creations...
It made a perfectly SWEET strawberry vine!

As you can see, the final results were nothing
short of adorable, but it did not start out that way!
Every perfect project begins
with a not so perfect construction phase.
Here is a photo to show you the deconstructed view of this card:

Of course, once I added in the tag with the
super cute pink plaid ribbon, it started pulling the vine together. I topped that off with a length of
Ivory Burlap String, and the card was complete.
"SWEET" Victory!!
Isn't is satisfying to see how a project comes together and the
final results are better than you expected?
Yes, that is exactly how this felt...
Like a victory!

Since I am not really a card maker, I am pretty proud of how this came together!  I will have to figure something out that will be appropriate for my Aunt so that I can make a card for her.
I am quite sure that she would appreciate the beauty of a homemade card! Any suggestion for a design would be truly appreciated! Leave them in the comments section below!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Pretty As a Peach

Do you want to make cards that are "pretty as a peach"? Well, whenever I'm trying to make a pretty card, I almost always want to put some type of ribbon or trim on it. We all know that the very BEST place to find every type of ribbon, lace, twine, or trim is Really Reasonable Ribbon. They really have it ALL from ribbons and trims to AdhesivesMulberry Flowers, and so much more.
You can read my extended supply list for this card by visiting my blog, My Cup Runneth Over.  I also added some sequins to my card for texture and sparkle.  Did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries fabulous Embellishments?  Yes!  Not only the best ribbons and trims, but many other beautiful crafty products.
The pretty gingham ribbon I wrapped around my card and used to tie a double bow is the 3/8" Moss Green & Cream Gingham Ribbon. I attached pretty much everything on my using the FABULOUS Adhesive called Scor-TapeScor-Tape comes in several different widths, and it holds things in place so that they won't come detached when mailing or when stored for a long period of time.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. You'll always find loads of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and lots of great shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon. Have a blessed and creative day, and please stop by again soon.  I always enjoy your visits and comments.

God bless you,
Karen

2 page Layout "So Berry Sweet"

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Monday to you all! DT Member Cheryl here today sharing another fun Layout , 2 pages that was done for our weekly Get IT Done challenge that my dear friend Colleen and I are doing weekly, so hoping to inspire those who love scrapbooking. These were also designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons Bonnie carries in the shop and also using Scor-tape as well to put these together.

Ive been having so much fun doing these pages and sharing them weekly with you all, and then adding them all to my scrapbooks. These pages here were done using the SVG file from Marjorie Ann Designs called "So Berry Sweet" aren't they the cutest bears ever? Just loved working with them and airbrushing them using the Copic airbrushing technique, and then piecing them together. I did do their eyes and eyelashes and have several videos on YouTube showing this technique if you would like to see, I will LINK here!

The design papers are a mix of some designs I bought at American crafts warehouse sale several years back, and the borders that are hearts are punched out using the large Martha Stewart Punches. All pieces and layers were attached using Scor-tape from RRR store . Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon was using in pearl pink

I do hope you enjoyed my Layout post today, and thank you so very much for stopping by! Hugs to all, Cheryl

Happiness Blooms Here

Summer Flowers Greeting Card-Really Reasonable Ribbon-Kathy Clement

Hello, Friends!  Spring is in full bloom here in North Carolina, and the flower gardens are starting to show off with beautiful floral displays.  This inspired me to create  a flirty, feminine card featuring Really Reasonable Ribbon Mulberry Flowers, 3/8" Coral rose Mini-Check Ribbon, and Iridescent Metallic String

Kathy Clement-Kathy by Design-Stamperia Garden-Really Reasonable Ribbon

I've clustered sweet Cherry Blossoms, Trellis Roses, and White Chrysanthemums around my focal image.  Then I added a sweet bow cluster tied with the Coral Rose Mini Check and Iridescent Metallic String.  The mini-check ribbon is also tied through the tops of some tags in a background layer.  Burlap string, a little floral charm and a soft pink Sweetheart Blossom help draw the eye.

Here's a little peek at the goodies I tucked inside the card.  It's always fun to turn a card into a gift!

Hope you all have a wonderful, restful weekend!

Happy Birthday

Hello sweet blog friends!  It's your ribbon-loving friend, Karen here.  The card I'm sharing with you today is a fun and simple Birthday card that's adorned with a few of the (many) amazing products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  As always, RRR carries the perfect colors, widths and designs of ribbons and trims plus SO much more.
I used kraft cardstock for my base and my sentiment square.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Verve Stamps (yes, an oldie but a goodie).  I placed a sweet little Faux Pearl Heart Accent on the journalling spot.  There are lots of cute Embellishments at RRR as well as AdhesivesMulberry Flowers and more.  I also added a white doily underneath the sentiment.  I used plenty of Scor-Tape to secure everything.
A pretty piece of Pink & White Gingham ribbon runs up the left-hand side of my card and I also used that to tie a pretty bow.  It's topped with a length of Light Blue Baker's Twine.  I also tucked in a few Double Head Stamens and on top, a few Sweetheart Blossoms.  A few little stick pins were the finishing touches.
There's always lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog as well as information about special sales and promotions and our monthly Blog Hop so be sure to stop by often.  Thanks so much for your visit today, and happy crafting.

Blessings,
Karen

Celebrate Spring Card

Hello friends.  Today I'm sharing a pretty spring greeting card that's embellished with some pretty ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon along with some great new Digital Stamps from Bonnie Garby Designs.

I created a 6-1/2" x 4-3/4" card with a few layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of delphinium Diamond Satin Ribbon topped with Mixed Pastel Vertical Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon across the center of the card under the sentiment.

The sentiments I used on my card today came from the More Spring Sentiments Digital Stamp Bundle.  I used the same bundle for both the sentiment on the front of the card and the interior sentiment.  This is a perfect little greeting card to send to a dear friend.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below is the digital stamp bundle I used on my card today.

For a video tutorial on how I use mulberry paper, please click HERE.

I decided to keep this card nice and flat for mailing so I didn't add any bows or flowers.  This is a good style of card to use up those shorter pieces of ribbon and jazz up your card without adding much thickness.  This card is light enough and flat enough for mailing with one stamp in a regular envelope.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Don't forget to stop by and visit me on my Make Time to Craft Blog too.  Have a crafty week!

Be Happy! Scrapbook Layout

 Hello and Happy Friday!

Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here with you today sharing a new layout that I did using some Prima Marketing goodies and some things from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop!

I pulled out my kit that was packed with the Prima Goodness and Decided immediately that I wanted to add a few things to create this layout.  I am a sucker for some burlap string, and the RRR shop has it in ALL COLORS!!  WHAT!!?? All I can say is YES PLEASE!!  Give me more! I decided to use use the Ivory, but was teetering on using the light blue as well. And have I mentioned the mulberry paper roses? Those are to DIE for! I use those beauties on everything! They add just the perfect touch to about any card, layout, or even home decor project. They have endless uses for us crafty Chicks!  Oh, and lone last thing from RRR...you know I can't forget to add the ribbon!  Well, in this case, I tossed in some 1.5 inch yellow netting to bring in some more pops of color.

Once everything was gathered, I began working on my layout. I had already printed the photos that I wanted to use, so It was pretty easy to assemble.
The biggest challenge I had was scaling BACK on the amount of flowers and other embellishments to use.  I am SO EXTRA as my kids call me, So of course, I am always adding EXTRA eye candy!! I mean...jut LOOK at these clusters! I totally could have added more! Actually, I was about to add some of my FAVORITE RRR shop find, the pearl resin hearts!  However, I only have a few left, so I opted to save them for JUST the RIGHT layout.

After gluing flowers and tucking the twine, I was ready to add the last minute paint splatters for some texture. and Finally, my final creation...and I am LOVING it!!
I love scrapbooking, and I am completely OBSESSED with the look that these things give to this outdoorsy themed layout!

Don't be fooled by the name!
Really Reasonable Ribbon  has so much more than just ribbon!
Go browse the shop and see for yourself!

Congratulations Bonitajoy!

10. Bonitajoy4/14/24, 9:52 PM

I live in Ohio, directly on the path. people in our area(central Ohio) had been preparing for .months...glasses were advertised all over. There wasn't a motel or hotel room available in Columbus.People came from all over the country to experience it. There was a party atmosphere during the time prior to the event. I wa walking down to my friends to witness it, and people were walking all over to visit and party to wait for it. Cloudy weather had been forecasted, but It was a beautiful day!
We started watching the sky at about 1:30. Amazingly, the phases developed just exactly as predicted on the science sites that had described them. That aspect of it seemed to just blow our minds....that scientists could predict each little change..and where the dots would ebb and just how they would develop and then almost explode into the atmosphere. All of the schools were off the event, and as the changes took place, at the beginning, voices were loud and announced the changes....as it got darker,...things got quieter, until the actual eclipse. Then there was yelling , cheers, and fireworks. It did get cooler. It was both beautiful, and yet eerie. It was almost like a forewarning to take care of the planet

Now if you didn't win, don't worry!! We will be 'hopping' each month so you'll have another chance to win soon! We hope you stop by and visit our blog often.

Raggedy Sweethearts Pages

Hello crafty friends and Happy Wednesday to you all. Cheryl here today to share a 2 page layout I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Gorgeous Satin Ribbons in different sizes. Lately Ive been addicted to creating scrapbook pages again, and I love this one! I have photos below showing close ups as well.

So for my pages I chose to use the Satin Pink 1/4" and 5/8" ribbon to use. I also I used lots of scar-tap and foam squares to add my layers. The SVG's are from Marjorie Ann and I put them together , inked up and did their faces, aren't they sweet? Just love these pages!

Now below is a pocket I added a window to, for the soda sweet shop....hehehehe and a mini Raggedy sweetheart is peeping through the window, darling huh? I am so please and can't wait to add some photos to this page set.

I hope you enjoyed my post for today! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day! Hugs to all, Cheryl W

Teal and Tan Tea Card with Mixed Earth Tone Flowers

Really Reasonable Ribbon-Mixed Earth Tone Flowers-Champagne Wrinkled Ribbon-Stamperia Brocante-Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Teal and Tan is one of my favorite color combos.  It's vintage, and rich and very restful on the eyes.  I've combined some gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon Champagne Wrinkled Ribbon with a lush cluster of Mixed Earth Tone Mulberry Flowers to adorn this shabby chic easel card.

If you are not familiar with Wrinkled Ribbon, I can tell  you it's one of my favorites to work with.  The narrower, 1/2" width and the light texture makes for beautiful bows.  Best of all, it comes in a rainbow of colors!  Champagne is one of my favorite shades because it can take on more of a pink hue when used with pink papers, or more of a beige hue, as you see here.

The neutral bouquet on this card features Mixed Earth Tone Magnolias, 35mm Trellis Roses, 20mm Open Roses, and Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemums.  I did not want the orangey center in the Chrysanthemum, so I just painted it with cream chalk paint.

The crocheted lace panel came from my stash.  I attached it to the card with a bit of 1/4" Scor-TapeFoam Tabs added to the back of the tea service die cuts add a lovely bit of dimension.

I hope I've shared some tips and ideas that you can use in your next crafty adventure.

Thanks for stopping by, friends!

My Grace Is Sufficient For You

Welcome by again today, sweet blog friends.  I'm glad you're here because today I'm sharing a pretty card that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon showcasing just a few of their (many) fabulous trims.  When we think about Really Reasonable Ribbon, of course ribbons and trims come to mind first.  That makes sense because RRR carries every ribbon, trim, twine, lace, etc. you can imagine.  Plus, they carry things like AdhesivesMulberry Flowers, Hair Accessories, Embellishments and SO much more.
My card uses black and dusty rose cardstocks for the base and then a layer of patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.  I used a stencil on the background, stamped the scripture using a Verve stamp, and then pressure embossed that white piece of cardstock with the Organic Linen Embossing Folder from Altenew.  Everything was attached with Scor-Tape, 3-D Foam Tabs or the hot glue gun.
I attached the sentiment piece using White 3-D Foam Tabs.  Next, I ran a length of Bay Leaf Seam Binding up the left-hand side card of my card next to a length of Dusty Rose Wrinkle Ribbon and some bundled Metallic Gold String.  Isn't that Metallic Gold String gorgeous?  I topped that with a beautiful Light Pink Tea Rose and two Moss Green Open Roses.  I also tucked in a pretty Green  Mulberry Leaf.
Be sure to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for lots of great inspiration and up-to-date information about special sales and promotions.  You'll always find something wonderful when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks again for visiting today.

Blessings,
Karen
