Gift box with RRR

Hello everyone, and Happy Monday to you all! Cheryl here today to share a fun gift box I decorated for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous flowers and ribbons from the shop.

On my gift box today I used some Shimmer Satin Brown ribbon to create my bow. then hot glued it to the flap of my box. Next I used the trellis rose for the center and some leaves behind it. I then glued on the carnations, cherry blossom and lastly the sweetheart blossom to complete my decorating. The box I had premade, as I like to have some things ready to go when I need them. I left the tag off, as Im not sure what gift will go in this yet, so at least I will have it ready to go when I need.

Autumn Is Here

It's your friend Karen posting here today.  I've been having a lot of fun lately making cards that include some cross-stitching on them.  It's always so nice to know that Really Reasonable Ribbon will always have the perfect trims and Embellishments for every card I create.  They also carry the perfect Adhesives to help hold everything in place securely to stand the test of time.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has a bit of everything we need as crafters....and then some.
I used black and pumpkin cardstock pieces for my base, and I layered that with a piece of simple cream cardstock that I cross-stitched.  I found the (free) cross-stitch pattern on Pinterest.  I changed a few things to make it fit, and I used DMC floss colors that I had on hand.  Once my stitching was complete, I placed the image on my card securely with pieces of Scor-Tape.  I cut the blue border using the Scallop Border Dies from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
To accent my cross-stitched image, I used a three of my favorite sweet trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon including a length of Brown Plaid RibbonSharon White Crochet Lace and Solid Pumpkin Bakers Twine.  I tied a bow using another length of the Solid Pumpkin Bakers Twine and placed a Plaid Flatback Cabachon over the bow.  I added a few Double Head Stamens and some Mulberry Leaves.
You'll always find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and loads of fabulous trims, ribbons and SO MUCH MORE when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They really do carry a bit of everything you need.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and please visit again soon.  It's always appreciated.

Blessings,
Karen

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses Holiday Card

Hello friends.  Today I'm sharing a Christmas card I  embellished with some shimmery ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the digital sentiments and background cut file are from Bonnie Garby Designs

I created a 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" card with a few layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of Gold Glitz Ribbon down the center of the card under the sentiment.  This is actually a ribbon that does not get the attention it deserves.  It's a beautiful shimmery ribbon that is also lightweight and great for bows.  It comes in 11 gorgeous colors!

The sentiments I used on my card today came from the Christmas Sentiments 4 Digital Stamp Bundle. The interior sentiment is from the very popular Christmas Sentiments for the Inside Digital Stamp Bundle. The background was created using my Honeycomb Background Overlay SVG Bundle.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the bundles I used on my card today.

Sometimes 'less is more' on a card, but you can always squeeze some ribbons and trims on there and this card is nice and flat for easy mailing.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Don't forget to stop by and visit me on my Make Time to Craft Blog too.  Have a crafty week!

So Thankful For....

Hello and Happy Monday!
Can you believe that it is already November?  This year has just flown by!
I will say, this year has not been as treacherous as the past years have been for me.
How about you? Has this year been kind to you? Or are you marking this one down in the memory book of one that you 'd like to forget?

I have reflected back on a few things this year and had a couple of "AH HA!" Moments.
One of those realizations is one that I am sharing with you today via my layout.

My layout is simply titled, "THANKFUL".

For this layout, I have used 3/16 gingham ribbon from the assortment pack that is offered on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Website. I have also used a few Mulberry Paper Flowers to add a bit more dimension to the page. As you can see, this is kind of a collage of old photos of my kids.  Yes, I am thankful for my kids, but this is deeper than than that.

God blessed me with 5 kids, and these photos show the amazing bond that they shared.  The love, the friendship, and the respect that they had for one another was astounding back then. However, this year, as my 4 living children have all reached adulthood, I have realized something.

The bond that they have, the love, the respect, and the genuine care and concern that they hold for one another is priceless.

After the death of my oldest son, my children were shattered, but they did not let that tear them apart. In fact, I believe that it drew them closer together. They are so close, and think of each other all the time. They have dinners together, go shopping together, go to the movies, etc. Even when they don't all live together any more, they still choose to hang out together.  They are BEST FRIENDS.

And THAT is what I am thankful for. The sibling Bond that they have is far greater than most. And I believe It is a direct result of loosing their oldest brother.

This year has revealed to me that, despite loosing my son, there have been good things happen that were a direct result of his death.  I honestly don't think that my kids would have this strong of a connection if not for having to lean on one another for support after his death, and them realizing just how valuable that their siblings are.
What is it that you are THANKFUL for?
Has this year revealed anything to you that makes you smile and be Thankful?

Don't let those memories fade! Scrapbook them, and cherish them!
The Really Reasonable Ribbon Store has all the perfect ribbons and "ties that bind"...and November, the month of Thanks,  is the PERFECT time to start documenting them!
