At the end of the hop, comment on this post answering the question below for a chance to win our August Ribbon Club assortment and the extra goodies shown below including a Variegated Hemp Cord Set and an assortment of our fun decorative Middy Bitty Bags.
Our question of the month is:
How long have you been crafting?
Now, if you are like me, that question is hard to answer. I've been crafting in one way or another as long as I can remember. It started with coloring, then moved on to crocheting granny squares when I was about 10, then knitting, sewing, rug hooking, string art (anyone remember that??), paper crafting, counted cross stitch, polymer clay, beading, etc, etc, etc. How about you?
Our winner will be selected from the numbered comments on this post on Friday, 8/17 using random.org. Be sure to check back on Friday evening to see if you are our lucky winner.
Thanks so much for hopping with us today. We hope you'll stop by and so some shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon soon. We have added lots of new holiday styles and new offerings from May Arts. Head over to see what's NEW. Don't forget to peek in our Halloween and Christmas categories.

Great hop as always ladies! So many beautiful projects! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
True :D
How long have I been crafting.. wow! My oldest is 18.. and I started when she was wee little thing. So I guess that would be 18 years! Okay.. with a 5 year break in between LOL So that would be 13 + years of crafting I guess ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been crafting in one way or another since I was about 15 years old, that would be 54 years. Starting with crocheting, sewing, tole painting, and the list goes on. I've always loved paper crafting and love to make not only cards, but boxes and bags too.

I did some crafting when my son was young, but then totally got away from it. Very recently I've gone back to making cards and am enjoying it more than ever before!
ReplyDeleteGreat hop, wonderful projects by your design team. I've been crafting since I was quite young. Coloring, painting, or sewing doll's clothes. I've been scrapbooking for 14 yrs and making cards for about 4 yrs.
ReplyDeleteFabulous projects by the DT! :)
ReplyDeleteLike you, I have been crafting in one way or another since I can remember. My mother was quite crafty when I was young, and I always wanted to be doing whatever she was doing. This craftiness has followed me though out my life. I have enjoyed many facets of crafing, but I think paper crafting is my true passion. :)
Thanks for another wonderful and inspiring hop!
Lori
What fabulous creations on the hop today. All the ladies showed such a wonderful use of the ribbon. I can't remember when I started crafting. I remember making little dolls as a kid and latch hook rugs. I have continued to craft my whole life in one area or another. I started my blog almost a year ago with the cards my sister got me into doing. I think this has been the most fun of all the crafting I have ever done. I love learning new things from all the wonderful crafters out there. Thanks so much for a great hop. Hugs, Robin
ReplyDeleteAwesome Blog Hop....I loved everything. So much talent here. It was a long time ago when I started crafting. I believe I was about 7 when my sister first got me started. so about 20 plus years.
ReplyDeleteGreat hop! I have been craft my whole life, but started cardmaking in 1999. From there moved to scrapbooking then mixed media. I love it all!
ReplyDeleteI've been "seriously" crafting for about 3 years now. Love the ribbon!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great hop....was not too excited about the grey ribbon but now excited to make some cards with it. I have been crafty for along time...as a kid made alot of crafts but never felt that I was that great. I started to scrap in 2004 (redid my wedding book)...at the end of the year we moved to Texas and my daughter said "get out of the house and meet some people" So out I went to the scrapbook store. Best thing I ever did....now I enjoy and feel I have artistic talents - along with meeting some of my best friends.

I have been crafting since I was a small child. My BFF says she remembers the day she moved in next door to me. She said I was making my own birthday party invitations but I didn't give her one. I have been going strong ever since. I got the award for Most Artistic Senior when I graduated high school. I draw, color, papercraft, quilt, work with clay, jewelry, just about everything you can think of. I have made great online friends since I started blogging a few years ago. I even force my family members to craft with me. Awesome hop everyone.
ReplyDeletegreat hop.. I've been crafting for as long as i can remember always into something different so lets say 20 years.. (I'm 25) and more into the scrapbooking/cardmaking for the last 6 or so. thanks for the chance to win.

This makes me sound old. Around 40 years.
ReplyDeleteI've been stamping since 1994 but crafting since I was a little girl when I used to stay at my Aunt & Uncles' house. I would sit outside with my Aunt and her friends who crocheted or knit. My Aunt put this wooden spool with nails in my hand and taught me how to make yarn snakes at least that was what I called it. when the snake was long enough we would sew it in a round to make doll rugs. stamping sue

I went to every site and commented. I have crafted on and off for 50 years. sTarted in 4-H and then continued with different things.
ReplyDeleteI'm 64 and I imagine I picked up a crayon around 3 or 4 so 60 years of putting something together or creating something. Color, embroidery, cross stitch, color by number (when I was little), crochet, knitting, collage, macrame (remember when that was popular?) Now I make cards, scrapbook, and I love making mini-albums. Thanks for the question. I have never sat down and thought about all of the different crafting endeavors I have done thus far. Thanks for the opportunity to win a prize just for reminising and checking out the lovely creations on all of the blogs!
ReplyDeleteI started crafting almost 38 years ago, when I was a brand new mama. I needed something to do and I saw a craft kit of the month club in a Woman's Day magazine (that magazine was only 19 cents back then!). I have been crafting ever since!
ReplyDeletei like you seem to have been doing it my whole life. my mom tells the story of when i was very young, not even walking. she left me on the front porch (it was an enclosed porch), while she got herself ready. she said she was gone just a couple of minutes. when she came back i had reached into my diaper and decorated EVERYTHING within reach.
ReplyDeletesince then my mediums have changed. my favorites now are cards and scrapbooks. ok so maybe thay haven't changed that much in 54 years. i had hoped to be artistic when i was younger but if it weren't for a compas and a ruler i might not have passed art class. but i don't give up easy. i kept trying until i found my talent.
thanks for the chance to win. now i must go hopping!
IVe enjoyed something or other crafty as long as I can remember too! I was doing cross stitch, folk art painting, cutting silhouettes, macramé, rug hooking, paper tole, making wreaths all before I was 16 !
ReplyDeleteI have been crafting as long as I can remember. As a young child, I remember crafting Barbie Furniture from Play-Doh.
ReplyDeleteI began crafting as soon as i could hold a pencil and scissors.. so for about 39 years :)
ReplyDeleteI still have the decorations I made for my first Christmas !
I've been crafting for 14 years but making cards and blogging for almost 4.
ReplyDeleteGreat hop with great projects! I have been craft a bit more than a year.

ReplyDeleteALWAYS such amazing projects on these hops! I've been crafting since I was old enough to hold a crochet hook! Both of my grandmothers were raised during the great depression and were taught to make EVERYTHING by hand and to repurpose everything. Growing up I always looked forward to the handmade dresses from Grandmo Ollie and the handmade blankets from Grandma Ellie.
ReplyDeleteLike you I have been crating as far back as I can remember. My brothers, sister and I would take the Child Craft Encyclopedias (who remembers those) down and craft all summer. My Mom, sister and I would sew, paint, cross stitch, etc. to our hearts content. Oh, what fun memories we have. Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteYears ago as a child, I crafted using whatever fell from the trees - acorns, leaves, seeds, and twigs. These days, I make sock dolls which I embellish with ribbons, buttons, and beads.
