when a little is enough...

I often find small pieces of ribbon and trim left in my ribbon bin as I make sure never to throw anything away. I know someday there will be a use for the scraps on a project. Today I bring you just a quick tutorial on how to add these to your card to create your own background as shown in this close-up below...

First, begin with paper and your ribbon/trims. Note that they don't have to be cut to the same length. I think it adds more to keep them at different lengths. You want to make sure that you lay it out first on the cardstock/paper before adhere them, or as I have done here stitched them. As you add each layer, slant them slightly so they overlap.Once you have stitched them all and your paper piece is finished it is time to add embellishments, glimmer mist, etc. as desired.I wanted to keep this card feeling a little shabby chic so I made sure not to trim the ends of the ribbon and lace trims. Matches the fraying of the fabric heart as well.Supplies used : 1" and 1.5" satin ribbon in ivory, variety of ivory and white lace trims.

Beautiful 3-D Dress Form

Hello everyone.  Today I'm sharing a Dress Form I decorated with Really Reasonable Ribbon and Pink Leaves.

I used:
5/8" Pink Pleated Satin (Really Reasonable Ribbon)
Pink Leaves (Really Reasonable Ribbon)
Tim Holtz Die cut (for dress form)
Butterfly, roses, DCWV for dp
I'm making these dress forms with matching chunky charms for a swap I'm hosting and we are to make 4.  Of course all mine will be different :) My chunky charm is shown attached and not.  I still have to add 3 more charms to it before it's complete. These dress forms can be used on a layout, tag, mini album, large photo album, and then use the chunky charm too :)

For my skirt I used some old Tulle I had.  Then I hot glued the Pink Leaves on and then the roses.
For the top of the skirt I used the Pink Pleated ribbon.  I also used a little piece of the Pink Pleated ribbon on the top part of my dress form.

I hope you enjoyed today's post as much as I've enjoyed making this to share :)
Have a lovely weekend!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Sewing Card with Seam Binding!

Hello! I have some new sewing theme stamps I have been itching to use, and what better ribbon to use then seam biding! Really Reasonable Ribbon has some AMAZING seam biding in their store...all sorts of colors in such great quality! Here I have used the Log Brown Seam Binding. Along with the seam biding, I have added a pearl stick pin. I then added a few buttons in the corner to finish off the sewing theme!

This image is a sneak peek from Our Daily Bread Designs !! Here I have used one of the new tag sets called Pincushion Tag Set, and added a sentiment from the new Wave in Faith sentiment set. The sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I used the tag die from Our Daily Bread Designs to cut out the image. The DP in the background is from Bo Bunny!

Yellow Assortment Pack

Hello Donalda here!
I was so honored when I was asked to be a Guest here at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I have been a big fan for a long time and am truly a Ribbon Addict lol
I have made a few projects to show you today with the Yellow Assortment Pack and I after using the kit on my projects here I still have lots and lots of ribbon to use.

First up I have made an wooden purse for my youngest granddaughter. She is a little diva so this worked perfect for her. Here on the purse I have used some Diamond Satin Ribbon and have made a double tailed bow. I found the tutorial over at Becca's Blog and she truly is a Ribbon Queen.
Here is a side view of the purse.

Next up I have made a Hair Clip, I have used the Danielle White Crochet Lace on top of the clip and adhered it with a glue gun. Next I took some Moss Satin with Grosgrain Edge Ribbon and gathered it up and layered on top of the lace. Then I gathered up some Lemon Satin Swiss Dots and layered it on top of the Moss Ribbon. Then finally I added a bumble Bee button to the top of it.

For my last project I have made a note board for my kitchen to post some notes.
I used the Lemon Diamond Satin Ribbon to make a hanger, the yellow Flowered Ric Rac to criss cross on the notepad and I used the Yellow Gold Seam Binding to make my bow

Here is a close up of the notepad.

Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing my projects.
And I would like to thank Bonnie so much for having me today.
Big Hugs !!

Ribbon Woven Headbands....

Are a great way to complete those back to school outfits for your girl!
As I mentioned in my previous post...
We have been doing some school clothes shopping, and, well,
while I am not shopping, I am making accessories for my girlies!

These super cute headbands are sure to make a girl happy...
And it is easy to make a match with virtually ANY outfit
using the amazingly huge selection of ribbon that Bonnie has in the Store!
There are 621 different varieties on 3/8 inch ribbon ALONE!
They are made with 4 different colors/patterns of 3/8 grosgrain ribbon cut in 1 yard lengths,
a plastic head band and hot glue.
For these 2, I used a 3/4 inch head band for one and a 1 inch headband for the other.
If you can braid hair, you can make these headbands!

Aubrie loved her Headbands.
She said they are VERY comfortable on her head and behind her ears.
AND.......
She has already decided that she wants me to make one to match every shirt in her wardrobe,
so, if you are interested in a tutorial, let me know here and I will put one together!

Thanks for visiting today!
Have a fantastic weekend!

More Glubers!!!

Good Morning Everyone, Happy Saturday!!! Crystal here and today I would like to share a creation with you that I made using some delicious Satin ribbon and fabulous glubers available here at Really Reasonable Ribbon!!! Hope you enjoy my creation today!!

I really loved how my flower turned out!!! So I decided to share a quick and easy tutorial on how to make this flower, depending on the size of glubers and the length of your ribbon determines the size you will receive. My card is 5x5 so I think this size worked out GREAT!!!

Hope you enjoy my tutorial today!!!!

Step 1 - Gather your supplies, your favorite ribbon, buttons, scissors, and glubers

Step 2 - Cut 9 pieces of 1 1/2 inch length ribbon (this ribbon is 5/8 thick) and cut out one of your glubers

Step 3 - Fold your ribbon in half, and attach all around the circle of your gluber

Step 4 - Adhere a button in the center, I decided to attach a string in the middle of the button!!

That's it, you are finished!! Easy Peasy Right??? These flowers are so simple and sooo fun to make!!! So stop on by our store and purchase some fabulous glubers and grab some of your favorite ribbons :)))

Hope you enjoyed my creation today, and my tutorial!!! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!!
